I can already see payroll departments and employees ending up confused once those overtime calculations hit tax season. -

Reminds me of one of Star Trek TOS worst episodes ever... -
What is "radio"? For me it's Siriusxm or usb stick.

It’s the same the world over, self employed people with a decent income buy themselves nice vehicles and then proceed to write down most of the costs on their business by claiming tax deductions. Amazing what you can do with a properly set up lease that also covers maintenance costs.

Ford conducted an extensive cost and engineering analysis of its wiring architecture. During teardowns of their first-generation EVs (like the Mustang Mach-E), engineers discovered the conventional wiring harnesses were overly complex, adding significant weight and production costs. First-Gen Mach-E Analysis: Ford found that the Mach-E wiring harness was $70 heavier and roughly 1.6 kilometers longer than necessary, driving up costs and assembly time. The UEV Re-Engineering: Ford transitioned to a zonal electrical architecture that consolidates dozens of electronic control units (ECUs) into just five main modules Mass & Cost Reductions: By simplifying this architecture and moving to a 48-volt low-voltage system, the upcoming midsize electric pickup truck will require over 4,000 feet less copper wire, shaving roughly 22 pounds of mass and significantly lowering Bill of Materials (BOM) costs Manufacturing Impact: This streamlined wiring system requires 40% fewer assembly workstations and results in 15% faster assembly times compared to Ford's older EV models.

I use AM more than FM in my Lightning.

I would routinely listen to AM stations as part of my drive to Albany for union business....get some good AM station "all news" channels on my way there. Don't listen to it much since I retired and no longer spending hours on the drives I take. -
I mean, if you're throwing a boatload of incentives at it to push people that way, naturally sales can follow.

From Autoline Daily: The Ford Explorer is attracting former Escape and Edge owners, despite having a higher sticker price. Ford stopped building the Edge in April 2024 and the Escape last December. And surprisingly, the Explorer has benefited the most from those models being dropped. Through May, sales of the Explorer in the U.S. are up 18% from a year ago, making it the fastest growing model in Ford’s lineup. Meanwhile, sales of the two models closest in size and price to the Escape in Ford’s lineup are down. Bronco Sport sales have slipped 1.5% and the Maverick is down 12% this year. Ford says higher inventory, the new off-road Tremor trim along with name recognition have helped lead to the boost in Explorer sales.

One aluminum panel on the whole truck, and it's doing the "Explorer hood" thing. 🙃 As part of my pretty frequent checking of the front end paint - hose off the bugs, check for chips, touch up chips - I came across some bubbling. Naturally, my first reaction was to absolutely freak out. I've seen tons of Explorers, and a few Edges, doing this, but not so much on Mavericks. Prowling some of the Facebook groups, I'm seeing posts just within the last 6 months, and many of them are 2024 units. The good news is the Ford warranty that addresses this: "COVERAGE TYPE:Corrosion Perforation COVERAGE DESCRIPTION:5 years / Unlimited miles ADDITIONAL INFO: No perforation req.on Aluminum Panels" That last line is the important part in this case. It used to be that there had to be actual perforation. That's a fairly recent change. So, if you get paint bubbling on your Maverick hood, take it in and get it taken care of!
