  1. These exist now. Virtually all BEV/PHEV can use the same L2 connector. There are three standards in the US for fast charging, CHAdeMO, CCS, and Tesla. CHAdeMO is deadman walking. Even Nissan, who holds the patents for it, has abandoned it. Electrify America has a CHAdeMO handle at most of their locations (the rest being CCS). Tesla has said they will eventually add CCS. EvGo already has chargers that support all three. The “OMG Different Standards” BS is really just FUD spread by people who don’t know the first thing about EVs.
  2. The Model S is practically a modern panther, though the CV seemed to be updated more often.
  3. Why not both? The government is investigating significantly in EV charging infrastructure. Do you not qualify for the new EV credit because your income is too high?
  4. Did the factory have capacity? Does the cancellation open up additional capacity for BS and Maverick, or is lack of capacity part of the reason for the cancellation? I’ve seen two commercial Mavericks this week that probably would have been TCs previously.
  5. Yesterday I traded my Mach-E for a Lightning. Love it so far.
  6. I’m not sure if it’s changed, but previously the PHEV explorer was only available overseas.
  7. Looks like Tremor orders open in September. https://www.detroitnews.com/story/business/autos/ford/2022/08/01/ford-maverick-tremor-pickup-off-road-capability/10184581002/
  8. You can use CCS and still limit who can use them - Rivian is doing this.
  9. Was already considering a Maverick to replace the Edge. That’s hot.
  10. You can’t get the 5.2 in a Mustang GT, or the Raptor 3.5 in a KR. Would be interesting to put the 5.2 in the Navi.
  11. Its not a supercharged V8, but Lightning still has more torque.
  12. Paid $3.86 at Costco in Madison, WI on Thursday. First time I bought gas in a long time.
  13. C2 is a further development of C1. CD3 was Mazda based. CD4 is a Ford platform that is a further development of EUCD. EUCD shared a lot of development with C1.
  14. Mine is scheduled for production end of July.
  15. Aren’t the cap and camo just old? OMG, it looks like.a Freestyle* *there were Freestyle mules for both the Flex and Explorer and people freaked out for both.
  16. How many Mustang (non-Mach-E) does Ford sell outside of North America each year?
  17. Wonder if MEB didn’t run into the same issue that using the Rivian platform did.
  18. They already do. Illinois requires EV plates and charges more for registration. Other states do as well.
  19. I’m not sure this is a good idea. Bronco name is almost 50 years old. It’s been way too many years since it was relevant. The Bronco II was just a half baked gift for soccer moms to buy. I’d say the last special Bronco was the FSB in the early 90s. After OJ’s White Bronco it was watered down till end of production. They would really have to do their homework on this one for it to succeed.
  20. I placed my order last week. Was thinking it would take longer to get, but end of summer/early fall I’ll be trading in my Mach-E for a Lightning. I’m conflicted, as the Mach is the best vehicle I’ve ever owned.
  21. The article I read says it’s an XL with some FX4 components and badging.
