  1. Agree! I always wanted a '69 or '70 Mach 1 since high school.... so needless to say I was one of the first to order one when the '03s were announced! The '21 Mach 1 is awesome but it's not a heritage car like the '03-'04 models. There should at least be on option package with all matte black striping, wing type spoiler, comfort-weave leather seats, and especially a shaker hood scoop thats die cast with the original dies!
  2. Performance wise it's more than worthy to be a Mach 1... but in my 'unbiased opinion' it still needs a hole in the hood (at least as an option) to earn the name:
  3. Its modular genius!!! You can impress your friends with heavily battle scared bumpers, grill, fenders, fender flares, tubular doors, rock guards, wheels and tires... then take the wife to a fancy resteraunte in a shiny Bronco with perfect stock components and running boards! It's going to take a whole lot more than a Hemi to update the Wrangler, lol!
  4. https://youtu.be/gmAU8MJoJU4 New Mustang Mach-E "Electri-vacation" Christmas commercial with the Griswolds...
  5. Shows quick and easy swapping of parts for the SEMA build with squared off wheel openings plus Q&A with Ford designers, including their own model and tranny preferences... plus it sounds like dealers will be getting accessorized Broncos for their customers to see in "the first part of next year".
  6. I've been a big fan of the new Lincoln interiors since sitting in the then all new Navigator at an auto show. We love our Aviators interior, but after seeing all the photos of the new Nautilus my wife and I both think that huge screen is on the edge (pun intended) of being too big. Maybe we're just accustomed to ours but that large screen mounted horizontally looks to be more of a distraction than the vertical mounting in the new Edge. While we would love to have Sync 4, we would still prefer it with our current screen size because it looks great without dominating the interior... but they do need to eliminate the black borders. Even with our older eyes we don't need giant icons or a bunch of windows open at the same time. It's a car... not a home theater, lol!
  7. Found a forum thread at fordescape.org that explains how to use Forscan to fully enable speed sign recognition for 2020 Escapes!!
  8. My daughters 2020 Escape Titanium 2.0 with Premium Package apperently has the following items that are no longer available for 2021 due to decontenting: Steering wheel paddle shifters; 110v inverter outlet; led signal mirrors; engine cover; laminated acoustic front door glass; and possibly the acoustic windshield. We're really glad she didn't wait for a 2021 model. The only new addition for 2021 that hers doesn't have is speed sign recognition... I'll take all those deleted goodies over that any day. Eliminating the paddle shifters on the 2.0 models really doesn't make sense because the new Escape 2.0's are an absolute blast to drive in sport mode... but I haven't told my daughter that, lol!
  9. Found some discussion on this issue here: https://www.autoevolution.com/news/2021-ford-bronco-can-t-use-a-spare-wheel-cover-for-a-very-simple-reason-146543.html
  10. No, but the writing is on the wall. The time is quickly approaching, whether we like it or not, when its mandatory that all new car sales are BEVs. Even the newly conservative UK just upped their timetable from 2035 to 2030, with the exception for hybrids. That will start a downhill slide where there's a steady decline in the demand for gasoline and the number of gas pumps will decrease as charging stations increase. At some point there will just be a few novilty gas pumps around for those with 'Classic ICE Cars'... and gas will be super expensive.
  11. ^^^^ In the year 2035, if man is still alive, when he starts his electric ride, he will hear... the sound of silence!
  12. There are three or four of us on here with Grand Tourings that have been problem free so far... no build issues, abnormal noises, vibrations, etc. My dealer didn't have to fix or adjust anything on mine. Maybe the GTs are better quality because final assembly is done on a dedicated hybrid assembly line several blocks from CAP. I haven't driven any other Aviators, but I've scrutinized a bunch on my dealers delivery lot since they started arriving last year and I've only seen panel misalignment on some early builds.
  13. My totally unbiased opinion: a wise choice... it's an awesome ride, best of the best. We absolutely love ours! Plus the PHEV tax credit makes it a no brainer.
  14. What's wrong with the armrest and how was the HUD damaged before you purchased it?
  15. That... plus I can't remember where I read it, but the new Escape supposedly has the lowest drag coefficient in it's class. So it's more aerodynamic than the boxy Sport.
  16. But it looks like you were just a Grabber Blue paint job away from driving a real chick magnet in high school... if you only knew, lol:
  17. Thats good... as long as we don't start seeing Fords with big ass ugly grills, lol!
  18. Wouldn't that be based on the sum of all parts from all suppliers for all models...
  19. You're most likely correct... let's just hope Farley reverses most of the bad decisions.
  20. This is actually encouraging news... the first steps in fixing a problem is acknowledging the problem exists and identifying what's causing it!
  21. OMG, my sister had her Maverick over 40 years ago... seems like yesterday, lol! And yes, your reasoning make sense... but as an older dude I still think sedan when I hear Mavrick.
  22. They do talk about this: "Bad parts from suppliers account for about one-third of Ford's warranty costs, Drake said. The rest stem from design and manufacturing issues, Galhotra said."
  23. Guess I haven't been paying much attention to the Maverick news yet, why are they reviving the Maverick name for a truck lIke this? Wouldn't Courier or Sport Trac be more appropriate... my sister had a Maverick and as I recall it had a trunk, lol! I agree with pffan1990... they should call it Bronco Sport Trac with the same trim levels, capabilites, accessories, etc as the Bronco Sport. The base model would be the cheap/affordable option.
  24. I couldn't get the link to work but search for Ford Customer Satisfsction Program 20B14... this is why the Escape Hybrid got dinged. It was a simple software fix but going by the dates of affected units it took a while to come up with the final fix. If I remember right there was also an earlier software upgrade attempt, but it didn't completely correct the problem.
