  1. Where do you see a CD player? Ford has been removing them as they are redundant these days. No way are they adding one to a new model.
  2. I like what I see so far. Interested to see the full package and options - especially if there will be hybrid options.
  3. For anyone using the Bronco as it was intended, in the "rough", I don't think they are wishing for a BEV. For all the "mall crawler" Broncos, I could see a BEV being a good solution. But then, this is a different vehicle and doesn't require all of the engineering that the Bronco has to create a true off-roader. Maybe another Bronco to add to the "Bronco Family"?
  4. Seems that they are thinking about building their own now: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-autos-ford-electric/ford-ceo-says-automaker-weighing-making-own-batteries-for-evs-idUSKBN27T26B
  5. Maybe they don't have to? If the pre-orders went well and since the production is constrained, they don't want to advertise something they can't deliver. Look at all of the upset Bronco buyers
  6. Hi If you guys want to discuss politics, can you create a new thread? This is a very polarizing subject that probably doesn't need to be in the middle of a discussion on GM's third quarter results. Thanks
  7. I can't help but think that the 126 mile range is a bit low, especially for colder climates.
  8. I know this is a hot topic but maybe we could leave the politics to a different thread, dedicated to that topic, and get back to talking about cars (and competitors)? Thanks
  9. I thought the mail-in ballots only needed to be post marked by the 3rd. When do they need to be received by to be eligible to be counted?
  10. For North Carolina, this is apparently the reason: The state’s board of elections said that so far, 99,000 voters who had requested a mail ballot had not yet returned one or cast a vote during the state’s early voting period. Some of those voters may have cast a ballot in-person on Election Day, and others may not have voted. North Carolina also had around 40,700 provisional ballots that needed to be processed and verified, the state elections board said. ---- With Trump ahead by ~77,000 votes, it's not mathematically impossible yet.
  11. Perhaps there is difference in volume or in the number of counters?
  12. Not sure of the actual reason but I suspect that it probably takes longer to count mail-in ballots.
  13. I thought a remember seeing a video of the Mach-e showing that the screen could be turned off?
  14. Unlikely. It's specifically listed as a Mechanical Change:
  15. Agreed. I stopped reading when they kept harping on, in every article, that Ford was doomed for dropping most sedans in favor of CUVs/SUVs/Trucks.
  16. Maybe the batteries are to blame? https://www.carscoops.com/2020/10/fully-charging-your-bmw-phevs-battery-could-spark-a-fire/ “Internal analysis has shown that in very rare cases, particles may have entered the battery during the production process”, the automaker said, cited by the news outlet. “When the battery is fully charged, this could lead to a short circuit within the battery cells, which may lead to a fire.” Plug-in hybrids equipped with batteries made by Samsung were involved in different recalls, including the Ford Kuga, Land Rover Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque.
  17. This is true. My statement was only a correction to the previous post that indicated that Ford and Microsoft are working together on Sync, which is not currently correct and hasn't been for over four years.
  18. Ford hasn't worked with Microsoft on Sync since Sync 2. Sync 3+ is developed with QNX, since ~2016.
  19. I think it's the missing rear side windows that makes it custom?
