Ford Jellymoulds
Ford need to get the Fiesta Stateside production lines up and running SAP, the Fiesta sold 30,900 units in January which would make it the best selling Ford in the world if this months European sales numbers are the same, it also outsold the entire US Ford car line-up combined. NickF1011
Ford need to get the Fiesta Stateside production lines up and running SAP, the Fiesta sold 30,900 units in January which would make it the best selling Ford in the world if this months European sales numbers are the same, it also outsold the entire US Ford car line-up combined. Fiesta would have sold about 3000 units here last month. For the umpteenth millionth time, the U.S. isn't Europe. And I don't think you can conclude the Fiesta is the best-selling model in the world, as the only F-series numbers seen are those for the U.S. Edited March 3, 2009 by NickF1011
goingincirclez
We also have a 24 hour statewide cable news operation which we own, the Ohio News Netwok (ONN), which has its highest viewership and income in the 11 years it has been around. B.Cragg_Dearborn
They have been building them for about a month now. You will see them start arriving the end of this month. February Sales: GM 53% Ford down 49% Toyota & Honda down 37-40% Ladies & Gentlemen, Let's go out and support our favorite car company. Go buy a Ford... Preferably one built in the U.S. Bryan
jpd80
Does anyone know how many days of supply this inventory number equates to? Ford sold 96,000 vehicles this month so, a bit over 4 months on average. It looks like they're balancing inventory with demand nicely. GM has an inventor of 781,000 vehicles but sold only 127,000 in February this means they have about 6.5 months worth of stock. Hers's an interesting one: Pontiac G8 2,

Facts US F-Series 24,000 Euroland Fiesta in January 30,900 Facts: F-series is sold in more than the United States. Just counting the whole of North America (hey, you're counting an entire continent, why can't I?) I would suspect F-series sales far surpassed 30,900 units. Where did I dredge up the 3000 number? Just a guestimate on my part, but looking at the rest of Ford's car sales numbers, I certainly wouldn't expect a whole lot more than that. The market for subcompacts in the U.S. is far smaller than it is in Europe. I suspect even you know this. Facts US F-Series 24,000 Euroland Fiesta in January 30,900 He's talking about the sale of a small car in the USA, a very different market to the rest of us. Facts: Sales of vehicles in February: Ford USA: 96,000 Ford Europe: 112,000 FJM, FoA showed the Econetic Fiesta at the Melbourne motor show to test the public reaction They were deluged with enquiries and CEO Marin Burlea has said it will come later this year. Funny thing is European factories are flat out as dealers sell everything the can get, new Fiesta petrols are selling like gang busters here but I doubt FoA will be able to increase it's numbers. * Makes you wonder if Ford really understands how quickly the market has changed everywhere...... I believe there are some pretty hefty incentives on it also. Glad to see it is moving though. If I recall, that's the best month it's had in a long while. Yes those GM inventory numbers are even scarier because GM is not slowing production. That's the difference, Ford is easing back to building just 420,000 vehicles next quarter. Until GM begins right sizing production to sales, they will burn up any cash given to them. Edited March 3, 2009 by jpd80

NickF1011
Fiesta should outsell F-Series this month worldwide. I don't see how you can possibly assert that without seeing all of the numbers from all of Ford's divisions.

I have this awful fear GM is doing more harm than good to Pontiac, I could be wrong..... If Falcon ever comes Stateside Ford should learn from this and head towards the luxury market, I could see an SEL or Limited falcon doing much better than a G8 GT, Or maybe even (hush) an MKR.... BORG
The Flex is still really struggling to catch on, considering Chevy sold three times as many Traverses. The Flex appears to have been a very wasteful investment, they should have focused on a core customer which Ford has under-serviced for a very long time now. The Flex is selling about as well as the Mustang now. Perhaps we should advocate that the Mustang has seen its day and should be put out to pasture too? It's the economy. The Flex is selling better now with the economy in the tubes than it was when it was launched.

buddysystem
According to the recently posted Autoblog table, Ford outsold Chevy by several thousand units, Lincoln outsold Cadillac by a thousand units and Mercury was just shy of Buick. Pontiac sold 14k cars? GM outsold Toyota by 17k cars. Some interesting numbers in the table.
