BORG
Everybody's favorite Mundeo is about to get an update. Anybody else think it's funny that the Mondeo doesn't have projector headlights standard like the Ford Fusion? http://www.worldcarfans.com/109090921601/2...tos/lowphotos#
PREMiERdrum
Man, I had a hard time looking at those photos and staying awake. Rear end proportions are awful, the rest is inoffensive, if boring as anything.

What utter rubbish Ford of EU has continued to proumote with these bouring, jelly shaped FWD vehicles. A better fit wouuld wouuld be the ressurectioun of the Cortina with propour rear wheel drive and spourt handling. All of me mates and neighbours wouuld be first in line at the Ford stoure to pourchase a propour Ford! I put it in italics because you people sound so much classier than us too. Had to jazz it up. Ford Jellymoulds
Yeah, like a Toyota Camry. Maybe if Ford put a Toyota badge on the Mondeo Americans would buy it in their millions, they would wonder why the new Camry no longer handles like a drunken pig anymore, they might start to think things are a bit suspect when the front & back suspension is wrecked after 80,000 miles though, and costs a small fortune to replace nearly every part. LOL At least yer ole Cortina used to average 16,500 a month car sales in the UK as it faced axe here, Ford as company all vehicles Ka, Fiesta, Focus, Fusion,C-Max, S-Max, Galaxy & Mondeo etc only sold just a very poor 10,754 sales combined total in the UK in August. Ford market share in the UK was 32% when the Cortina was around, it has dropped to 16% in August this year most of the loss of Ford lost market share rests squarely on the Mundanes boring shoulders only. No C4C help just big profits all the way from yea ole Tina. Cortina/Taunus used to be Europe No1 best seller for most of its life, Mundane struggles to sell just 8,500 units to the whole of Europe these days, Cortina used to sell on average 16,500 as it face the axe just in the UK alone. Cortina never left the UK's No1 spot Britain's best selling car 1967, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981. Something a Mundane will never achieve it's not even managed to make it into the UK top 10 this year. Giz back our RWD Tina, yer mate Dump the Mundane, you bet yer mate Edited September 9, 2009 by Ford Jellymoulds

SkapeGote
Sup, It is a nice car, even if it is a little boring. This would be perfect for t he American market. Cheap reliable transportation in a four door. On another note, can we ban the word Cortina, it is over used on this forum. If I have to hear another rant about it, I am going to puke. Better yet, can we create a Cortina sub forum. Just for Jelly. Skape

Ford Jellymoulds
Clean design... if not a little generic  Looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow Mundane sales don't help Fords bottom line. Only comment about the new Mundane so far is it has got bigger bumpers. Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo w! Gotta say l am knocked out by such great innovations, l can hear the rumble see the stampede coming to buy the next generation Mundane with a bigger bumper. I don't want another Cortina but at least they offered something fresh in shape with every new model that came out. Mundane offers nothing fresh at all it must be generating all the excitement of a generic fridge/appliance, folk will just hang onto the Mundane they have got until it blows up like a fridge for 15 years before they replace it. C4C bribes Mk2 will be needed again to get Mundane type sales moving again. Ford's new Taurus is a million times better than the model it replaced so is the KA & Fiesta, many years ago everybody in the UK used to think of the Fiesta as grandads car, now it appeals to everybody. I want to see the Mondeo to be a sales success for Ford, nothing much changed here, sorry but l just don't see folk wanting to trade their old Mundane in for a new $40,000 Mundane with bigger bumpers and what looks like the same hood that was on Mundane a Mk2 Mundane. Car design has become stale & mundane Ford need to break the mould, and offer something new and fresh for a change, big bumpers :boring:
Ford Jellymoulds
Cue Jelly with his lame "Mundane" posts.... [edit] D'oh - I missed it up there since he's on my IGNORE list! Good to see you still remember me then A bit like the Mundane sales, they are on most car buyers IGNORE lists it's so bland and anonymous nobody knows its there I want the Mundane to be a sales success like the Cortina was, its letting Ford down. If the Mundane was No1 in UK/Europe for most of its life like the Cortina/Taunus was l would be the Mondeo's biggest No1 fan on BON, but it's letting Ford down bigtime saleswise. pictor
Nothing very distinctive about it, new Fusion is much better. It kinda reminds of the last generation Honda Accord coupe.
