silvrsvt
Thought it was strange that they would still have camo on the back bumper...unless it was a prototype of a new bumper for a new model? They also had a GTI running with the ST photos....they are up on Facebook

fordmantpw
Escape ST? I guess that would be Sport, though...
jasonj80
Escape ST? I guess that would be Sport, though... That look happens a lot when the vehicle was covered in the padded camo at one point. The bumpers are not always covered by the padded camo and just have the paint applied directly to them. In Dearborn you see this look all the time. BORG
I see this frequently around Chrysler HQ. De-camoed vehicles still sporting the permanent paint job. All of those prototypes are eventually destroyed. Edited March 29, 2012 by BORG
ausrutherford
My guess...the Euro spec bumper.
NLPRacing
Escape ST? I guess that would be Sport, though... An Escape Sport, what engine would it get? Maybe a 2.7 Nano Ecoboost?
Jr.f
just finished Mp1 build Starting Mp2 Monday for the Escape and there still a Few running around with the original camo parts here and there
fordmantpw
An Escape Sport, what engine would it get? Maybe a 2.7 Nano Ecoboost? Talk about a blast to drive! But, I bet a V6 won't fit in the new Escape...
transitman
just finished Mp1 build Starting Mp2 Monday for the Escape and there still a Few running around with the original camo parts here and there What's Mp1 and Mp2. NickF1011
But, I bet a V6 won't fit in the new Escape... Then I guess my hopes of a shoehorned 6.2 V8 are entirely unrealistic, huh?
Jr.f
Nope The Engine Bay is REALLL small.

Moosetang
I have no complaints with an EB I4 Escape Sport if it's in reach of the Focus ST's numbers. The EB Nano 6 can be saved for the next Edge Sport.
fordmantpw
Then I guess my hopes of a shoehorned 6.2 V8 are entirely unrealistic, huh? That will be the rear-engined SVT-ST-Sport-SHO-Titanium-Limited model.
rmc523
$5.48 a gallon? I saw that too.....crazy! Where is this?

2005Explorer
Talk about a blast to drive! But, I bet a V6 won't fit in the new Escape... So does that mean if a Lincoln version of the Escape comes out it will be 4 cylinder only?
2b2
An Escape Sport, what engine would it get? Maybe a 2.7 Nano Ecoboost? just speculation & wishful thinking: the Lincoln MKuGa would get the Nano 2.7v6 (& EB) while the Escape would eventually get the new 2.3 4cyl = upto 325hp as EB
PREMiERdrum
So does that mean if a Lincoln version of the Escape comes out it will be 4 cylinder only? Yup, 2.0EB, straight out of the ST.
svtenthusiast
just finished Mp1 build Starting Mp2 Monday for the Escape and there still a Few running around with the original camo parts here and there Good luck with the Job1 turnup on the 9th! I am looking forward to getting mine, ordered a few months ago. Looks like the 2.0 Ecoboost will now be rated the same 270 lb-ft torque as Explorer and Edge. Exciting, that thing is going to be a quick little SUV! Here's to hoping I will have better luck than with my 2012 Focus......I have confidence in you guys down in Louisville!
