GT-Keith
http://www.caranddriver.com/features/2015-ford-mustang-rendered-detailed-future-cars Looks like an Aston... The only thing I don't really like is the thickness of the silver rim on the front grill

Taurusguy
Oh, I hope not. That just looks like the pony slapped on the grille of the Evos. If that's the next Mustang, I won't be parting with my '05!
RangerM
I realize the current Mustang's rear seats aren't that accommodating, but unless my sense of scale is off this looks (to me) like they practically aren't there.

If that's the next Mustang, I won't be parting with my '05! Too bad, cause this render is scary close. Though, the way the grill meets the headlights is a little off, this is by far the best render yet.

I also hope it becomes somewhat more refined but also faster.
BORG
At least this mustang doesn't look like a porky block. Edited October 21, 2012 by BORG

I thought I remembered someone from Ford saying the new Mustang would look different, but be instantly recognizable as a Mustang.

I thought I remembered someone from Ford saying the new Mustang would look different, but be instantly recognizable as a Mustang. I wouldn't say that. The fastback roof line, the rear "hips", and the subtle hockey-stick on the side are all Mustang cues to me.

ZanatWork
I noticed the same thing. That concerns me, because one of the Mustang's long-standing advantages was being a better overall car than the Camaro. If that render is accurate, you'll find more rear seat room in a 911. I realize the current Mustang's rear seats aren't that accommodating, but unless my sense of scale is off this looks (to me) like they practically aren't there. Taurusguy
I can't believe the bottom of the door opening would be that high. Looks ridiculous, not to mention impractical.

It's not even a Ford render. I think you're getting a little ahead yourself.

I don't know what you mean. The hockey stick ridge is a styling element. It's not the bottom of the door.

Looking very closely at that drawing, or the full size version in the link, the hockey stick ridge sure looks like the bottom of the door to me. StangBang
Can we just wait for an official reveal and not worry about some speculative rendering???

PJ111
That red car and driver render is maybe the best looking stang since my 69 Boss 429! In my opinion..Can't wait to see how close these artist renders are to the real car. Supposedly that red car is fairly close according to folks in the know. Versa-Tech
the B/C-pillar window too?<p>that's my main quibble I wouldn't say that any feature is accurate, it's just way closer than anything else so far, especially the proportions. I would be tremendously surprised if it is. Of course, it's just a non-Ford rendering so....
TomServo92
Upon close examination, I see what you're talking about. I still don't believe we'll see anything like that on the real thing.
