97svtgoin05gt
I think we're seeing some real basic stuff here. I doubt seriously that this would be its real final form. Will be interesting to hear/see the powerplant though.
NLPRacing
Those front tires are HUGE! Why would they run 295's on the front? Could it be AWD?

Those are some massive meats out front!
NickF1011
Those front tires are HUGE! Why would they run 295's on the front? Could it be AWD? FWIW, the close up shot of the tire is the rear, not the front.
fordmantpw
Good catch NLP. Also, check out this tidbit: ...functional vent aft of the front wheels to allow for better airflow... And notice the wheels that look ridiculous. Are they hiding the in-wheel electric motors we've heard about before? And the functional vents are to cool the motors?

Anthony
I was looking at front 3/4 view (I didn't even see the closeup pic until just now that you mentioned it). Those fronts still look mighty meaty.

Probably just there to hide the brakes.
bzcat
Probably just there to hide the brakes. The new SVT Mustang is supposedly coming out with a carbon ceramic brake option. They are definitely testing the brakes on these test mules, hence the oversized cover to hide the details.

There were shots of the mules with Enormous disc brakes on them before the actual car broke cover too
97svtgoin05gt
I would think that after all the griping the auto world did about the brakes on the GT500, this one will stop with the best of them and not just once.
