Steveottawa
This angle makes me say yes it is. But those taillights and that rear make me say, I sure hope this is not the case on the final production run. Where is the large opening in the middle? Why four lights? http://horsepowerkings.com/2016-ford-gt-coming-will-powered-650-hp-twin-turbo-5-0-weigh-less-3300-lbs/

PREMiERdrum
The article doesn't source the image at all... Looks to me to just be a passable chop based off the last GT?

Just a chop for the sake of the article.
Edstock
Especially when it's front-engined; the GT is rumored to be LeMans bound, and that means mid-engine, IMHO.
RichardJensen
Chop. But a pretty good chop at that. (note the A-pillar thickness, the upper right corner of the rear glass, the 'lip' of the right rear fender flare, and the lack of details around the tires.) I think it's based on a C7 'Vette chop based, in turn, off a spyshot like this one: http://simhq.com/forum/files/usergals/2012/12/full-8822-46238-nrburgring_nordschleife_2.jpg Edited January 10, 2015 by RichardJensen

probowler
The old corvettes also had the four lights in the back as well.

Anthony
I sure don't. Haven't played one in over a decade (at least). Ask my kids though.
akirby
If you haven't played Gran Turismo 6 in 3D HDTV with a real metal steering wheel and pedals - you don't know what you're missing. Realistic simulation is an understatement. Real drivers use these things to train for real races.

Gworl
In Germany it is 10.50 am and we have still almost 4 1/2 hours to go until the Ford press conference starts. I am sitting in my office in front of the screen, but how am I supposed to concentrate on working?
