id_birdhntr
So while I am waiting on my truck to be built I was curious if anyone had experience with purchasing extended warranties through Flood Ford? Seems like the way to go or at least a way to negotiate with the dealer. Looks like high volume and therefore lower cost for coverage. Thanks in advance for any input.
akirby
Ziegler is another online option. I’ve heard nobody with issues from any of the online sellers.
id_birdhntr
Thanks I will look at that one as well. Decided to get a Powerboost so little more nervous about costs down the road even though the battery is covered for 8 years.
75032F150
I'm planning on using Flood or Ziegler as well. Last time that I looked the difference between the plans (Flood vs. Ziegler) it was around $300-500.

id_birdhntr
Pricing looks to be a few hundred dollars better with Flood Ford.
jasonj80
Anderson & Koch Ford and Lombard Ford as well, all are usually within a few $100 dollars. Also many dealers don't negotiate liked they used to on the ESP because of the lawsuits. Even my dealer that I have a great relationship with says buy it online. He doesn't want to get into a lawsuit where he needs to explain why different people were charged a different amount. Makes for good headlines that you were charging women or a minority more than someone else.
road turtle
I've never purchased an extended warranty for a vehicle. Seriously considering it for the SD I have on order. How do you get an online price for ESP?

id_birdhntr
I plan on using FloodFordESP assuming the dealer won't match the price.
Quags
There are some restrictions in Florida. I tried one of the sites and they don't sell to us. I've used extended warranties on a few vehicles but I bought CPO. It came in handy a few times.
cmk1981
I purchased an ESP through flood for my 2017 F150. It doesn't show in FordPass as me having an ESP but I have verified through the dealer that they see me as having an ESP. I purchased right before my bumper to bumper was over. AtleeH
I bought an ESP from Ziegler Ford for my then new 2014 F150 w/ 3.5L EB. Later I bought an ESP from Flood for my new 2018 Fusion SE which has the 1.5L EB.
mpd510
I have flood on my Expedition and they have been good so far for some minor issues. It's going in next week for Cam phaser rattle so I see how that goes
Anthony
I’ve bought warranties from Flood for my past three Fords. On my Focus they probably paid into it more then it was worth. It’s an official Ford service plan so it didn’t matter where you buy it from.
Birdieman
I have purchased 5 warranties from Flood, best prices, never any issues regardless of the dealer I bring it to for service work.

I've never purchased a ESP for any of the 5 Fords I've owned so kinda new territory for me. My truck is supposed to be built today so better put on my research hat & figure it out. Khayes82
Flood Ford ESP was over $2,000 cheaper for the exact same warranty my dealer offered. They have a great reputation for ESP sales online and I’ve never seen anything negative from anyone who has used them.
Stangman1990
I've purchased my warranty and maintenance plan through Flood Ford and I'm in Canada. It's good North America wide and I have never had an issue at my local dealer.
B_23G
1st ford coming soon. Any negatives about Flood Ford?
sippy12
Another one to consider is Granger Ford in Iowa...they are promoting $50 over cost. I haven't priced it yet with them...but since I am in the midwest...prolly who I will use.
