I still could be wrong.  I just dont see what other vehicle it really could be either.  Lincoln only has 4

me neither, could the Navi (maybe with some tweaks), a Aviator version before a decision to change it? I don't know

I see a bit resemblance with the Corsair grille

but then again you might be right with your analysis

I mean, they're going with the family look, so naturally styling elements will be shared.

Weird we haven't gotten any good spy shots of the rear.  I know there's rumors floating around about a new split tailgate, but hopefully they get the rear right.  The rear of the navi always looked less cohesive on the Navi this last generation.

Yeah, it is true that we haven’t gotten any shot of the rear, also this is the same case for the interior.

I guess in both cases it is going to look like the Nautilus, just with a split tailgate and I hope with a bigger screen because the Escalade is going to get the 55in from the IQ

That's what I was thinking.

The nav is def getting the full width display, interested to see what interior touches they will Give it.

The roof rails look different on this model.  Its the style thats integrated into the body, not the elevated roof rails thats on the expy models.

From that angle, it looks closer to what was on the aviator screen spied awhile ago.  It would've been nice for it to have the "wings" on the headlights that the nautilus has, but that's looking to be a pretty truck.

I am really curious how the light bar will look.  I think the current Navi's light bar is good, the pre-refresh was kinda cartoony with how thick it was.

Looks like it'll be very Nautilus like.

You all who guessed the clamshell tailgate (split tailgate) maybe right afterall.  I was looking at the rear pics on my work monitor instead of my phone, you can actually kind of see the split space in the tailgate on the left hand side of the tail gate.  It looks deep and slightly recessed.   Also it's at the same height as where the license plate area is, which is where the character line looks to be.

Also, neither truck has the lift handle on the liftglass like the other gens do and they glass on both looks melded to the sheet skin.

I'm interested to see how they sell this liftgate/tailgate design.  I've never fully understood the advantage of it, especially on a vehicle this large, where a tailgate setup (even if short) puts you X" further away from the already deep cargo area.  I'd imagine it allows them to reduce complexity and (and likely weight) of the upper liftgate by not having to incorporate separate liftglass mechanisms, since this setup is basically a shorter liftgate with fixed glass, and a completely separate tailgate.

Why does Ford love to use a very simple exhaust design:

Even the Aviator looks better:

Beautiful photo of the Aviator on the tarmac which is a great branding shot for Lincoln's demographic. Years ago, my boss had a corporate air charter business. Every plane he'd owned was for sale at the right price and he upgraded to bigger, better planes each time one was sold. The last one was a Citation II that someone offered him big bucks for because of the condition... all new avionics, etc. He sold and delivered the Citation in August 2001, a month before 9/11!
