The first gen Sport Trac was based on the Second Gen Explorer platform and the second gen Sport Track was a completely different animal because it had a 4.6L in it that the Ranger never offered. I want to say that the post 2002 Explorer and 2007 Sport Trac had IRS also?
The Ranger more or less had no updates post 1993 outside of some sheet metal or a new I4 in it.
You just described the actual purpose of a wrinkled sheet on a vehicle to disguise the design prior to a “reveal”. Your eyes can see something else, but that’s a DH SC under that sheet. Like it or not, you were fooled by some random Facebook page.
IMO Chevy is shooting themselves in the foot by not charging market pricing on their high end vettes
If Ford can get 300K for a GTD why can't the ZR1X cost about the same? They are a business, not a charity
I just looked at the ZR1 sales from last year, they sold less then 200 units!
Overall vette sales where 25K and sales have been dropping since the introduction of the C8
I don’t think we will get a direct Corvette competitor(Thunderbird) anytime soon. While I think it would be undeniably awesome, I’m not sure if it would be worth it for Ford. Hope I’m wrong though.
lol if he thinks the GTD is a corvette competitor. Show me the GTD that I can get for $70k. He’ll, I’m sure the new Dark Horse SC costs more than a corvette.
All of that about the racing and off road stuff sounds great, but what about the vehicles for normal people? At this point, I would be more excited to see a new compact SUV from ford than any of this stuff they are revealing.
I figured out what happened! Ford revealed the dark horse SC, then Will Smith showed up, erased their memories, and tonight they were like "OH SHIT WE GOTTA REVEAL THE DARK HORSE SC!!"
Stangmode did a very brief interview with Farley. In short, Farley straight up said "No" when asked if they were gonna bring back names like cobra and boss. He says they want to "Live in the future with mustang" we'll see what that ends up meaning beyond just the naming.
When someone asked if Ford was gonna make a Corvette rival, he acted all coy, and kinda implied that was the GTD. He also really pushed the off-road enthusiasts products and said they were gonna build that out way more than they already were.
