It's hard to say. I would call maverick one of Ford's icons now, I'm pretty sure they've called it an icon themselves. We've seen other icons like mustang and bronco have multiple models leveraging that name, and in both cases, both of those nameplates were used on both ICE, and EV variants.    I see no reason why Ford couldn't offer a next gen gas powered maverick, and an EV version, Ford makes an gas powered, and an EV powered bronco, and broncos in multiple sizes. Maybe maverick can become its own sub-brand with different models. 

Please do! That sounds like it would be cool. Though close, the interiors and materials were a tad more upgrade, or at least appeared so, than the Fords We chose our 2009 Mariner over an Escape, both were base models, for the nicer interior and the Merc had an auto dim mirror and hard wired keypad as part of the package.

Exactly, or what they do for the rear seats when they fold down for the midgate.  It can be done but like others mention I don't know if it's necessary.  Just seems like another useful option for a swiss army knife vehicle.

Can't be any worse than the jump seats in my 95 Ranger.   Seriously though they would definitely be utilitarian and not for everyday use.

Throw out China because EV sales are virtually mandated by the government.   In Europe are they still offering EV subsidies?

Not that I've ever heard of and we've had a few days below freezing in the past.  Ours are pretty deep.

Without a replacement I would agree.  But that's why I think they'll expand Bronco variants at MAP and replace Ranger with this new midsized TTP truck.   Shouldn't be hard to replace 75K units.

I understand that but those are similar vehicles.  I think Maverick EV will be quite different.   I could also be completely wrong. 😑 

Well that was the plan first with Rivian then at Oakville but the skunkworks success showed them a much better option.   Something like the 2 Caddy utilities would have been great albeit without much ROI.
