Jag showed several interior pictures.... Jaguar Type 01 Interior Debuts With Dramatic New Layout Jaguar’s Type 01 EV Interior Looks Like A ’70s Concept That Reached Production | Carscoops Jaguar’s New Type 01 EV Has a Cabin That Doesn’t Make Sense - Autoblog The driver faces a large digital instrument cluster that stands in for the traditional infotainment screen missing from the center stack, and it covers everything from speed to navigation. Jaguar has skipped a separate display for the front passenger as well. Backing up the cluster is a mirror-replacing screen called the “ClearSight Rear View Display,” set at the base of the windscreen, plus a small smartphone-style touchscreen that pokes out of the center console. That touchscreen holds the climate and media controls, and what look like haptic buttons sit on either side of the two-spoke steering wheel’s central hub, home to the new Jaguar logo. The color palette draws from “travertine stone and the rich textures of artisan textiles,” giving off ’70s concept car vibes. Cream and brown upholstery meets brass accents on the central spine, while the door cards carry embedded Jaguar leapers. Linear graphics visually merge the hood and the dashboard for a retro-futuristic feel, with the same motif echoed on the steering wheel.

And your ICE MPG also drops a bit in winter… neither comes close to the 50% drop that exists in winter for previous gen EVs. My lightning goes from 280 to about 150 anytime it gets into the low 30’s. LFP by this metric would go from 280 to ~250. Hardly noticeable for most users except on long road trips. Even then it’s relatively minimal. LFP needs to be charged up to 100% at least weekly. To protect the battery and calibrations. This will work far better for the general public. -

LiFePO4 battery capacity follows predictable temperature-dependent patterns. Laboratory testing shows capacity retention rates across temperature ranges: Temperature Capacity Retention Discharge Rate Impact 20°C (68°F) 100% Baseline 0°C (32°F) 85-90% Moderate reduction -10°C (14°F) 75-85% Noticeable reduction -20°C (-4°F) 70-80% Significant reduction -30°C (-22°F) 60-70% Substantial reduction This is showing that there is a decent impact below freezing (32F). I know living in the North East I can have weather like that lasts a couple weeks at a time. -
https://www.carscoops.com/2026/08/chevrolet-exits-china/ According to a report from Automobilwoche, the brand is ending sales in the country after nearly 21 years. While that idea was once unthinkable, the publication reports that sales went from over 767,000 units in 2014 to less than 9,000 last year. That’s a decline of roughly 98.8% in little more than a decade.

Cadillac is expanding their "Curated by Cadillac" program from Celestiq to the Escalade IQ. http://www.cadillac.com/curatedbycadillac Cadillac Escalade IQ’s New $55,000 Package Goes All-In on Bespoke Luxury - Autoblog Want A Truly Bespoke Escalade IQ? Cadillac Has A New Customization Program https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a73395844/curated-by-cadillac-escalade-iq-revealed/ Today, Cadillac announced Curated by Cadillac ESCALADE IQ, extending the brand’s exclusive and low volume concierge-led experience to its all-electric flagship SUV, delivering an elevated and distinctly Cadillac experience. “Curated by Cadillac ESCALADE IQ gives clients the chance to create a vehicle that reflects their individual taste by working alongside expert Cadillac designers,” said Kristian Aquilina, vice president, Global Cadillac. “We’re extending the hand-built CELESTIQ experience to deliver true customization capabilities for a select number of ESCALADE IQ clients.” It's certainly a cool program if people are willing to pay, and something I thought Lincoln should try to do as well. The Germans do it too with BMW's "individual" program and Mercedes has a simir program (Manufaktur maybe?). They took the half step with Black Label. They should add a tier above where you can completely customize the colors. I don't have a problem with the Black Label approach of offering a few "unique" pre-set color combos for those that don't want to fully pick, but want something more special than the "standard" interior options. BMW does this too with tiers of Individual program. But they ought to take it a step further and offer a "Diamond Label" or something above it for full customization.

This isn’t true of LFP packs though. You can charge to 100% without issue. They also have minimal cold weather range impact compared to regular lithium packs. -

I've tried a few searches recently both in the "Everywhere" and "topic" filters, and they come up with absolutely nothing, even when searching something generic like "Kia" when I know I've posted threads titled "Kia Seltos" or something like that. Anyone else having an issue of the search function not working at all?
