Recent press articles say the Excursion will be an EREV. We know that Super Duty is getting an EREV and is being built in Oakville. It could make sense to have an Excursion EREV built side by side with the SD.

I wouldn't take it at face value-it makes no sense to have something that large in the lineup-unless Ford sees some sort of demand for it.

I understand the argument of just use what is already being produced for the Chinese model, rather than two separate interiors (and one they haven't produced in China in a few years since it got the refresh).   But I'm guessing the software issues didn't warrant redoing it with the current regulations for only a short run, as you point out.

Why would they spend big bucks on an all new interior for a model that's only going to be on sale for 3 years?

Yeah I'm sure new head/taillights and grille, with them "massaging" the side panels.   I wonder if they just rebody it similar to the current Mustang, where all panels are new, but it's clearly based on the outgoing model.

Software.  A reworked cabin likely requires new software for different screens.  With the regulations to import saying it has to be US-based software installed, they likely didn't want to reinvent the wheel, so went with what they already had.       I'd assume that's the same color that was recently shown on Nautilus.   There reportedly is a Lincoln CE1 product, so I think this is just a short term importation to get them through until they transition to that product (unless they take the smarter approach and launch the CE1 product alongside this and let buyers decide)............it's also possible that since Corsair is late in its lifecycle, that this is just a holdover until a next gen model comes soon for China (with US importation a question mark), so minimal investment was made?

Hello all. I have been considering a new Bronco for a couple of years now. It will come down to a 2-door manual Badlands with Sasquatch, HOSS 3.0, Lux, and other goodies… or a Raptor.   I test drove a used 2025 Raptor after making nice with the salesman, who was gushing over my pristine Focus RS. The Raptor was quite a ride, but I don’t know if I can get back into an automatic after driving only stick for nearly 25 years now.   I haven’t tried a manual Bronco or any configuration of the 2.3 for that matter. But a manual 2-door Badlands specc’d the way I want it comes in $20k below a Raptor the way I would configure it (Code Orange and leather at the very least). So the money is a factor but it’s not everything.    I like having the final versions of cars. I bought my 2018 Focus RS for that reason. Among the last of a dying breed of manual hot hatches. I may have to sell it to get a Bronco but we’ll see.    Ideally I get the final 2-door manual Bronco. That would seal the deal for me. I don’t know if that’s a couple years off or will Ford continue to produce the configuration into the next generation, which will be around the end of the decade I assume. I’m waiting to see what 2027 has to offer.   Glad to be here! 🚙 💨   

Could this also be one of those pastel colors that the fathom will supposedly have? This is essentially the same vehicle from 2019 with a new engine and grille and a big price bump (yes you get more equipment too). It looks old even with the new grille. If there is a UEV version of this, it can’t get here soon enough.
