We keep hearing that Hyundai is close to passing Ford but that’s not true. Hyundai and Kia are two separate companies. While they share a lot of engineering and Hyundai owns part of Kia, they  are not one and the same. We don’t combine sales from Subaru into Toyota’s totals. Why are we combining Hyundai and Kia?

That would be my guess if it is a hybrid power train. But, I'm also wondering if it could be the 2.7 Ecoboost being replaced by the 3.0 Ecoboost like is happening with the F-150.

Indeed, it’s a strong signal of Ford’s  intent to strip away sales that add little to the bottom line. That and ongoing external issues like Aluminum supplies thst are hurting Ford’s sales.    GM seems to have suffered a similar decline in sales but most likely due to different reasons.   No matter what manufacturers do, things are tough at the moment

Exactly.  I'd say he's 85% right but if you dare question him on the other 15% or point out his mistakes then he gets his panties in a wad.  He just enjoys being the guy who knows more than you do.    Fun fact - at one time he made youtube unboxing videos.

Meh maybe because they are slightly underpowered? I had a Hybrid Elantra when I went to CA awhile ago and had an old Fusion Hybrid and never felt like they had enough guts to them. At least with an EV you get a ton of torque that makes them "feel" fast.    Just as an example, you can recharge a 60 kwh battery at 50% for under $6 at .19 kwh cost. At how much gas costs these days, well one tank of gas would go a long way to recharging an EV (if its reasonably easy to do so for you)
