It’s in the proportions. take a look at the distance between the bottom of the A frame and the top of the wheel arch, on your rendering that is a lot smaller gap meaning you have to carry the hood line higher further forward. Now see where the headlights sit, split with about half above the top of the arch and the rest below that. Not criticising, just a thought….

Am I the only one thinking this will be a Lincoln Everest? Much easier to design a luxury truck when the doors and roof don't come off. All the off road goodies that the Bronco has but more refinement, potential air suspension or adjustable fox suspension. The question is .....can the 3.5 Ecoboost fit? Bronco Raptor base engine and F150 Raptor optional engine. 80-120k. -

How much lower would you say the front end is compared to the gray rendering so I know how much to tweak it by? It's kinda hard to tell with all the padding like you mentioned, so I'm kinda working off the covered sheet image we have as well as the mule. On the covered sheet, it looks like there's a character line maybe a few inches about the front wheel and that same line wraps across the front fascia. I'm using that as a reference for the rough height of the lights but I can try making it lower. -

Exactly the point I was making-people who are actually going to buy this product have very little exposure to something that was last sold 40-60 years ago and the people bitching about it most likely shouldn't be driving due to their age 😛 -
The front is a bit more raked and lower but on the way there (the padding camo makes people think the front is higher) Have another look at the lights and the level of the body line…

Am I getting kinda close with this? -
Old guy here, the name Ranchero is both well known and well respected by our generation. Ford seems to be very keen in tapping into its past, so using Ranchero makes total sense. It's got my vote.

That describes Maverick as well. Maverick is a well accepted name and owners have embraced it affectionately.

Well, the decal kit I bought on Amazon was worthless. Way too big. I had to reduce them to 76% on my copier to get to the correct scale. The other issue is that despite what the photo in the Amazon ad shows all you really get is a black outline of the letters which would essentially disappear on a black vehicle. The original decals were white letters with a black outline. Once you peel off the white background paper from the replacements all you're left with is the black outline. They were only about $12 for a full set of six vinyl decals which is a perfect example of you get what you pay for. Needless to say, they didn't get a very positive review from me on Amazon. I'll probably take the reduced size copies to a local vinyl shop to see if they can use them as templates and then see how their price compares to buying them directly from a Can-Am dealer. I was able to find the decals I need at an on-line store that sells Can-Am OEM parts and their price was $116 plus shipping for the full set. However, they didn't have any photos of the color I need so I had to email them a few questions just to confirm whether or not they have the correct color. Still waiting on a reply.

You do realize the 50s, 60s, and 70s when the ranchero was actually around was even further in the past right? So by that logic, even less people would know the ranchero name? Even in its prime, it was still a niche vehicle where it couldn’t even beat out the el Camino. No one cares about the ranchero name besides old timers and ford. People are more likely to think juevos rancheros than ford ranchero these days.
