I still occasionally see Escort stuff around here on some of the old-timer’s cabinets. A few Expedition and Navigator things as well. Always neat to see. I have a bag of pins a co-worker bestowed upon me when he retired from the 90s that are pretty neat. -

Roush has their fingers in many different things, they actually built the pre-prototype M1E3 for the US Army earlier in the year that was shown off at the Detroit Auto Show -

Because that's what he said even if it's not what he meant. LOL.

I just saw the car again at the same shopping center close to me. It might belong to a store employee. Anyway, I had a minute to look at it closely and it is a well-done wrap. -
Yes, it seems that Roush Power Systems has replaced Powertrain Solutions International as powertrain integrator for GM engines and transmissions in Freightliner vehicles. It's interesting to note that Roush has been a G.M. supplier for nearly 30 years and was G.M.'s Supplier of the Year for 2025. Given the state of supplier relations at Ford and G.M. I'll wager Roush was probably happy to have G.M. as a customer... Freightliner has used G.M. gasoline engines for many years and probably did select the upcoming L8S 6.6L for their chassis models. The L96 6.0L and L8T 6.6L have been very reliable for Freightliner and are used with Allison automatic transmissions. Still, it is strange to hear Roush associated with G.M..

China has a massive amount of zombie companies. These zombie companies (unprofitable, debt-laden firms kept alive by state subsidies and bank loans) account for over 12% of the country's total registered enterprises. Much of the subsidies come from local governments because the provincial government's performance is measured by the their local GDP and employment stats. To climb the ladder the local authorities have to impress the CCP.

That's what I said to begin with lol. I agree it makes no sense for a C2 Nautilus if you can pair it with the Mustang model. He interpreted your statement "canned for a RWD CD6 Mustang CUV" literally meaning they'd drop Nautilus because they're putting money to the Mustang model.

All the tax rebates did was create artificial demand and allowed higher pricing. Trump and the conservatives aren't anti-ev. They're against favoring EVs and punishing ICE mfrs. There is plenty of demand now for EVs and relaxing the draconian CAFE rules are simply allowing buyers to buy what they've always wanted. CAFE killed small cars as much as changing consumer tastes. It was a good idea initially and resulted in huge improvements in fuel economy across the board. But then it hit the wall where it was so difficult to meet requirements that it was better to just stop building them.
