They added a weep hole right? I could be wrong, but I believe the earlier 3.5s didn't have that, so when the seal failed, it just dumped the coolant right into the oil and destroyed the engine. Whereas the new design will leak coolant onto the ground and let you know something is wrong I believe. I also heard the water pump has two seals, I don't know if they've always been that way, or that's something they improved for later models. 

I think it's the truck, hence the comparison to the patent drawing above.

Well, IIRC, they are teaming up on a midsize truck.   But agree, doubt they'd just hand over Corvette like that.   Genesis has been doing a lot of concepts lately........I'm guessing a Corvette was a good starting point for the stance they were looking for, so they bought one and rebodied it just for a visual concept, and potentially figure out how to make it later lol.

Look at the vehicle in the background/A pillar and length of front, it’s either a new Van or something with a really short nose could this be a sneaky looking at CE1 pickup in the background?          

When Ford doesn’t have any products to show, they normally try to paint a lot of blue sky with either affordable pricing or you’re gonna really like what we are doing…   The main thing that undoes all the interest in future vehicles is hyping projected pricing because Ford has a nasty habit of walking back all of that the moment it starts taking orders. The most devastating hit to Lightning was changing the price, 200k in reservations evaporated  75% of reservation holders were either new to Ford or buying their first pickup,  all gone so quickly.

I think the $26B hit involves  Stellantis’ operations worldwide. The company has a very long list of HEV/PHEV and EV options in Europe, which is their home market.

They also changed the water pump itself which reduced failures.

Maybe GM feels they need a few more sales of their platform to amortize the C8 costs, so they're going to sell it to Genesis?   Doubtful they would sell their flagship like that, though...

Yeah, apparently the newer yellow coolant is supposed to protect the seals on the water pump a lot better, I've even heard some people claim it would strengthen those seals, but I'm not sure if that's possible.
