Yea, that's the Chinese commie way. But regardless of how or when them Chinese companies were forced into it, several of those companies are now global leaders when it comes to EV design and manufacturing expertise. The big shots at Ford recognize this, that's why Jimbo said: "We are going to partner with the Chinese where we do not have [intellectual property], where we can be more capital efficient in places like Europe or Southeast Asia."

Actually, the headline accurately describes the result of regulatory capture in the U.S. by the fossil fuel and the automotive industries. Both are gettin' their money's worth from all their lobbying!

It's probably too fast for a global Maverick using CE1 learnings (potential gigacasting etc).

As pointed out, the comments sound like an international truck not coming to the US market.

F-150 and Super Duty share a cab now, I don't think there's any difference on the cab (though I think the dash is slightly different on SDs. My initial thought is wondering if they'll switch to the approach of having mini front-hinged rear doors instead of the pillar-less suiside doors, with a design that keeps the b-pillar. But it seems odd that they'd drop it mid year, and not just wait until the new model comes out to drop it then?
-
What are they thinking? Oh wait, they are NOT thinking!
-
Yeah I saw this and my only thought was why can't Ford do anything right?
-
How do they not figure out that's an issue before putting the package on sale? Also, did anything else come with the package?
-
That's crazy that they're brand new designs and get worse fuel economy, regardless of the regulations "allowing" it...
