There seems to be two threads running on this topic. But I just read somewhere that Ford has been asked to submit a prototype for truck based vehicles.

Sure, but you'd also think they'd want to put volume there. An "Excursion" won't do much volume relatively speaking to warrant setting up a whole production line for it alone. Now if they said hey, we're moving all Expedition/Navigator production to TTP, plus whatever this product may be, that'd be a different story, because this could also allow them to increase Super Duty production at KTP, leaving Oakville to take over Canada F-series sales with some overflow coming back.

TTP is huge and Ford needs to put it to use. From Gemini: TTP's massive 10.8 million square feet of total building space dwarfs older legacy assembly plants like Kansas City (4.7 million sq. ft.) or Michigan Assembly Plant (5 million sq. ft.).

Well sure. Maverick has been around since what 2019, 2020? maybe we’ll see Fathom go global? Eventually. Lol

Maybe that but local Australian rules are forcing all manufacturers to go either PHEV or BEV for light vehicles, Ranger and Everest have exemption until the end of 2028. After that cutoff Theres big fines for selling non-compliant vehicles

Mmm why not make the Expedition L or Max or whatever it is called just longer? They can call it Excursion but making another Suv is a bit dumb, just follow the same strategy as the Tahoe/Suburban duo, I mean the Suburban, Yukon xl and Escalade ESV have been longer that the Expy/Navi for a long time -

Yikes that photoshop/AI image is just a bit disjointed lol Maybe Ford is working on plan to build more Expeditions/Navigators in the US with whole Canadian tariff thing turning into a shitshow -
This is unexpected..... Is The Ford Excursion About To Be Resurrected? According to the latest Automotive News future product report, a new, large SUV with an extended range electric vehicle (EREV) powertrain is slated to enter production at the brand new Tennessee Truck plant in 2029. That same report notes that this new model will be a bit larger than the existing Ford Expedition, which is currently the biggest such model in The Blue Oval's lineup. Putting it at TTP seems odd if it's bigger than Expy, because that'd mean putting a full size platform there in addition to the T6-based F-100/Ranger?

They showed it in the release images, and it's featured in 5:05 in the video posted earlier in the thread...

Chicago, when it was on 3 crew, could do about 350K per year. That was with Taurus, Explorer, Police Interceptor Variants and MKS for a while.
