Our fuel is a lot more expensive, diesel used to be much cheaper than petrol but once everyone switched with diesel pickups and utilities, the oil companies started raising prices to protect their lost profits form the petrol side..   While they are fuel efficient, the modern diesels don’t like lots of short trips as it clogs up the converters when they can’t regen but pretty sure many of you in North America know all about that added pain….

On the Super Dutys the most common cause is a wiring issue at the tailgate hinge or the connector for the camera/lock. I’d start by checking the harness where it flexes when the gate opens, then unplug/reseat the tailgate connector and clean the latch. If it’s gone from intermittent to constant, the sensor or wiring has likely failed. On a 2024 this should be covered under warranty, so the dealer may be the fastest fix.

Ford has been planning this for a while, first heard this over a year ago when I heard that it was their intent  to limit money going to VW and suppliers. Ford had identified that VW was trying to increase profits by selling batteries and MEB parts to Ford. (Duh)   The things that Ford now makes: - change battery supply away from VW suppliers - changing motors and control units to Gord own design

That is great.  Too bad they didn't say if or when all of us 2024 Nautilus owners will get upgraded to 1.4 or 1.5.  The current one we are on is rather annoying at times.  They might get a lot more usage if they got existing customers to the latest versions.

I'm sure once CE1 is up and running - it will be recreated at an as unnamed plant in the European Theatre soon thereafter....
