I would have been happy with a well-equipped XLT or Limited in that same color combination and seating configuration, but I couldn’t find any of those either. This was during the summer of 2020 so I wasn’t too keen on ordering. I’m lucky it all worked out, though. The dealer did screw up the interior color, but I was able to have them fix it two weeks before the build date! -
I've bought 3 cars in my driving history, a Flex, Mustang, and Bronco. My Flex and Bronco were custom ordered, as I knew I was going to keep them for some time (kept the Flex for 13 years, and Bronco somehow I've had 4+ years now already), so I wanted to make sure I got what I wanted (plus with Bronco, I reserved one, so I was ordering regardless). My Mustang was one off the lot. It was always intended to be a "temporary" car (had it 4 years) while waiting for the Bronco, and was also a second car for most of the time I had it, so my "must have" list was different for it. There were some features I'd have liked to have that it didn't, but they weren't deal breakers for me. All three were blue (Flex was Light Ice Blue with the white roof, Mustang was Lightning Blue, and Bronco is Velocity Blue), and for me, I couldn't see settling on a different color than the one I want. I feel like if I buy something I didn't have my heart set on, that I'll look at it and be disappointed all the time. I guess my point is, since vehicle purchases last for multiple years, I'd rather get what I want than settle for something off the lot that isn't what I wanted. Every buyer is different, but color is an important one for me. I don't want a grayscale car lol.

If you read some of the articles about the car, there's no questioning that a tremendous amount of Ferrari engineering expertise is built into this car. The shame is that none of that will matter because Ferrari is supposed to represent the pinnacle of sexy stying and this abomination is the exact opposite. IMO this is what happens when an automotive enterprise like Ferrari is managed by 'professional' managers who have no concept of the history of Ferrari. They have demonstrably no sense of Ferrari's place in the automotive cosmos. The board of Ferrari should kick these leaders to the curb on their asses. /rant -
Yeah, I have no issue with Ferrari doing an EV. This product is a case of making an EV a "Ferrari", not making a Ferrari an EV. In other words, they slapped some Ferrari styling cues (if I'm being generous) and badging on an EV, rather than designing a Ferrari with an EV powertrain....

By the same token why would Peterbilt willingly sell products to a particular customer at a loss when other buyers will gladly pay more for their superior product? There may be a projected life-cycle cost factor at work here too. Or Peterbilt (PACCAR) wants to run Ford out of the class 6 and 7 truck market by going after one of their best customers aggresively.

Without seeing Ford's 2027 build and price on the Ford website, but looking at dealer "custom order" sections, it looks like to me the 2027 model is actually less?! I am missing something? -

Sounds like Ferrari was the primary issue here-the Interior is alright, even though it has a big drop of Apple/Ive design language in it. -
