Like I said before, in their hearts, Ford didn't want JLR to succeed and take Lincoln biz. Ford doesn't know what do with anything that isn't branded Ford or Lincoln. Like I also said in here, at the end of WWII, the US govt. offered Ford VW and Ford passed. But do you think VW would have survived under Ford? No way! Tractors? I'm not sure of the history order without searching, but Ford sold it to New Holland, then it became CNH, Fiat-New Holland, or something like that. It's a huge company today whatever its called.  I won't get into class 8, but if VW is going to make a pickup, then Ford should go into class 8 and make VW/Traton Group/Navistar sweat! If you blink your eyes, a company has changed ownership. What's going to happen when the Ford bloodline gets watered down?  I know they have a poison pill to deter takeovers, but how long will that last?
