  1. Past hour
  2. Shorter is ok but it needs more width. Sounds like it will be wider.
  3. I was actually referring to the Speedo Cluster. On all the Escapes, except fleet, they are full LCD. After a quick search, I see a few Maverick owners have swapped it in. So it does fit. https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/full-digital-gauge-cluster-from-ford-escape-swap-into-maverick.9506/
  4. Today
  5. We haven't seen any spy pic of the Navigator lately, just the Expedition. I wonder if it has been pushed back

  7. Escalade been shown completely and not even a wheel spoke from lincoln lol
  8. Got it. Honestly, I'm a fan of the MI retro 1965-style Water Winter Wonderland plate design they brought back a couple of years ago. HRG
  9. 2023 Puma shows an improvement in width to 71” like the Encore but the length is still shorter by 4” at 165” If Ford is contemplating a new Ecosport on the global B Car platform, I could see it sharing the same width and hopefully, as long as Encore. Those changes would give it a better chance od success in the US.
  10. The last EcoSport's size was limited in size so it could fit the lower sub-4 meter (sub-157.5 inch) Indian tax bracket (India was a major market for the second generation EcoSport). Export markets got a more substantial rear bumper that added a few more inches in length. Back in 2012 The EcoSport's size was considered average for a B-segment crossover. but each competitor that followed offered larger vehicles meant for the rest of the world. The subcompact Ford SUV (believed to be the next gen EcoSport) in the patent drawings looks like the prototype/ clay model leaked in late 2021 before Ford India stopped operations. Will Ford push through with it? It may not be important to the US and Canadian markets but relevant everywhere else around the globe. -https://gaadiwaadi.com/
  11. H, Yes, its the rear bumper that I noticed the minute the season started. Versus record so far 🤔, a minor detail, but seemed like a dumb move. Would GM get rid of the bow tie?
  12. Being laid off for up to 3 years on a retooling delay is no doubt unusual in regards to you talking about the storage of the machinery for this program. I just hope it’s a ford and a Lincoln or 2 Fords. I just feel like more than one product is needed. The info will come out when allowed.
  13. I appreciate your response. I know you can’t say more than you’re allowed. I believe you that things are delayed but gonna happen. If Ford were closing the plant then I feel they would’ve outright just closed it and not play around. My hope is that we’re back earlier than 2027. I can only hope if not I hope that this delay is worth it and for the better. Whatever Ford chooses to do.
  14. I've been away, but we're buying off the body shop tooling, and members of the OAC body shop launch team have been present. This is still a real program despite the delays. I can't account for every person on the launch team or their whereabouts all the time, but this is really business as usual, except for the fact that this stuff is going into storage as-is for this program. That's completely unusual. Seriously. No precedent.
  15. It was heartbreaking to read the discussion here about OAC without being able to comment. The current okay-to-say information is that the program isn't cancelled. And from my experience, that's true. We're putting the tooling into storage rather than sending it to other programs. It really *is* a delay, and not a cancellation, from what I can tell at my level. If it were anything else, I'd just stay quiet, like I did for the last few months on this particular topic. There are some tool install related dates that I can't talk about on a public forum, but things are more positive than the dates that are currently public. Because I've always been a conservative, boring car guy that was, despite this, interested in sleepers. Now I'm a middle-aged guy with a bit of discretionary income that wants something a bit more fun than my current Premium, and I no longer care about keeping a low profile. If you see me with ugly, white wheels, bright yellow paint, a tail fin, and racing stripes, I'm _not_ calling for attention – I simply don't care to hide any more! The Rally is finally the car that that lets me look like a douche, but have the performance to deserve it. That's probably not the image the Ford wants, but I'm Gen X – flaunt it if you got it, and the Rally finally gots it (sic).
  16. I thought ultium integrated the batteries with the chassis. So obviously different batteries but other improvements too.
  17. My understanding is that there nave been no body or bed changes over the years you specify
  18. Yesterday
  19. Probably not a carry-over. As I understand it, the original Bolt was based on a Chevy Cruze platform that housed LG Chem batteries, motor and electronics. As mentioned, the new one will probably use the Ultium platform and batteries.
  20. Which means what? batteries or platform or what? It sounds like the new Bolt will be a carry over with new batteries?
  21. I thought you were implying it was a bad thing. If not then I was agreeing with you. 😎
  22. Only if I got rid of my workshop or the golf cart/future Porsche…. Neither is likely. 😂
