  1. Honestly surprised it has taken this long in the current world environment. https://www.cnbc.com/2021/02/22/chief-of-cherokee-nation-wants-jeep-to-stop-using-tribes-name-on-suvs.html

  2. So my wife and I flew from Boise, ID on Feb 3rd to Florida. Had a crappy rental car of course. Drove through Naples and the Lincoln dealer there had a 2021 Black Label that got my attention. Ended up buying it and turned in the rental at a Budget lot a mile down the road. Now I have a problem. The airline would not let me bring my newly purchased Gator on the plane. So we cancelled our flight and drove it home to Boise. Got back yesterday. What an adventure. What poor timing. Drove through very miserable road conditions across Texas last Thursday and Friday. All on I-10. I have years of snow and ice driving experience due to growing up and living in Utah and Idaho. But all the drivers not familiar with such driving did everything they could to try and kill us. Anyway, made it home with 3,100 miles on my Gator that had 25 miles on it when I drove it off the lot. Now it is parked in the garage and my poor 2019 F-150 Raptor is parked outside in the cold. Gotta decide if I am going to keep my most favorite truck I have ever had. Glad to find this forum! More to come!

  3. Just curious about this. I ordered a F350 on Jan 25. About 2 weeks later I called the dealer to add LED headlights to the order while making the change they accidentally deleted another option I had. A couple of days later they noticed the mistake but the order had been locked in and they could not go back and add it. It is in my production now. So they placed another order Feb 16. I have a vin and estimated production week of March 29. Do orders that are placed on a certain week, automatically get a production week that is set for the week It was ordered? Also is it possible that an order can get moved up to an earlier production week. I hope what I’m asking makes sense.

  4. Flight Blue exterior with Chalet interior. 80's in Florida... got down to 9 in Texas & New Mexico. 32 here in Idaho right now which is normal... No deal at all and no negotiating . It was the only Gator on the lot. They had sold all of their 2020's and got this one in 4 days earlier. Take it or leave it. Love the vehicle. Ride is awesome and for a cross country road trip cruiser it is perfect for us. My wife drives a 2020 Nautilus and loves it also. We have always been Lincoln fans. I have a 2019 F-150 Raptor which is my favorite Ford truck ever. And I have had a lot of them. Been a Ford guy all my life. I don't know yet what to do with it. Maybe I will sell the Harley which does not get used much these days and keep the Raptor. I love that truck.

  5. Just drove my brand new 2021 Gator from Naples FL to Boise, ID. 3,100 miles total and had 25 miles on it when I drove it off the lot. I did many hours long stretches of freeway doing 90 to 95 mph on that brand new motor. It is broke in now fer sure. Ha Ha!

  6. Yes, They knew I didn't want it. I'm going with the Bronco instead, so hopefully June/July for that. It wasn't underhanded or anything; I was actually happy they sold it that fast.

  8. I hear ya fmccap, nothing remotely routine about the last few weeks. Jobama was doing the "Lid" thingy during his basement schedule before day one and now Jobama in his first 30 days is calling the "Lid" at 7 or 8 in the morning and having the Veep do the white house business. While the cookies are pasted out by the first lady doctor then nap time.... no question or conspiracy thing about it Jobama is not calling the shot`s...

  9. Having used those inverters for years and having also used the Ford pro power there is definitely nothing the same about them. First off pro power has the Ability to supply way more power. Next, if you want to use an inverter you either better have the truck running or prepare for a dead battery. Pro power allows the battery to maintain itself and only run the truck as needed. Then 5he ability to control from your cell phone is extremely handy. The clean power is another issue. Sensitive electronics will have no problem with pro power. Anyone claiming a simple invertor will do the same thing has not done any research first.

  11. Same issue with a 18 Nav L Black Label, connected to wifi automatic updates fails every single time, last update was build date of 12/17. I was able to update SYNC via USB 2 weeks ago and yesterday I downloaded a rather large complimentary map update from Lincoln map update website that took 30 min to download and 60 min to install into truck all via USB flash drive. Adding to the comments above there absolutely have been updates to both SYNC and Maps however something is wrong with either the onboard modem or APIM in the vehicle, even after both USB updates I tried again to scan for automatic updates and it failed with the same message of try again later when convenient. Appointment to drop off at dealer this morning for the dreaded oil pan leak and VCT solenoid failure, will have them look into the update issue and report back as to what they find.

  12. When Romeo closes I think, which is supposed to happen by the end of 2023 if I'm not mistaken. I'll have to check the UAW contract, it's in there.

  13. I have a 2019 Navigator with the same issue. I tell the system to check for updates and the check always fails. I brought to the dealer and they said to update with a USB drive. Yes this works, but it should be able to check for updates wirelessly as designed.

  14. Hi gang. ice-capades gave the correct information/answer just a few replies above. The dates are simply paperwork processing dates (to put it simply). They mean nothing as far as we the customer are concerned. If one happens to coincidentally match a production date, delivery date etc., that is all it is. A coincidence. Good luck.

  15. Just build a shorter stroke, shorter deck height aluminum block version of the 7.3L, use PTWA spray bore cylinders and call it a day. NA version for high end trim F-150/Expedition and maybe Bronco Warthog. Add a blower and you have the perfect Raptor R and GT500 power plant.

  16. Just to follow up. Rattle noise at 2100 rpm is gone. No problems.

  18. We've all driven around for decades with halogen lights and I doubt they've ever been the cause of an accident due to lack of night visibility. LED headlights look better/cooler so everyone wants them. I'm one of those so I paid more to get them.

  19. Yeah they were the big winner with the 2019 redesign. There has never been that great of a leap between generations of US trucks ever. The crazy part is that the previous one was very good as well. I think Ram does well because focus on what matters. Ride, interior, powertrain, etc. A lot of the reviews I’ve read about the new f150 say that Ram still has a clear advantage in the interior. Having ridden in all of the new trucks it’s immediately clear the ride is superior too. I think that’s a testament to Ram understanding the truck market better than anyone. They know the vast majority of trucks are used as minivans to shuttle people around and thus the emphasis on interior quality and ride. A good friend of mine bought a Silverado over the summer and when compared to the Ram it comes up very short. But it’s still a great truck and has a stout powertrain. He’s even pleased with having the 8-speed vs the problematic 10-speed. He’s a Ford guy at heart but between the quality problems and the pricing, he got a much better deal with nicer options than a comparable f150. I think that’s why GM did so well with their trucks last year.

  20. The demand is limited and seems to be only Tesla. They have what 2-3% market share? Subaru gets that. Mazda gets that. So far, it is a niche being propped up by government incentives and venture capital. Bronco was oversold overnight. Mach e, not so much. The fact that Ford set the residual on the Mach e as low as it is, tells me they aren’t confident in the demand. We’ll see. I might buy one in a couple years. Possibly used if the residual estimate turns out to be correct. They look like decent commuter cars.

  21. I think it means the truck is actually being built. The date on the bottom of the sticker is wierd. For my truck, it started with 1/27 (I believe the day the order was pulled), 1/28 (the day it went to plant), 2/4 (day built - this roughly coincided with the dealers system which said the vehicle was "scheduled to day" of 2/2), 2/11 (I am guessing the day it loaded onto the rail car since it arrived in ND at midnight on the 12th...but Alumizilla said it was "in transit" on the 7th...but I know it had to go by truck to the rail depot), and finally 2/19 (when I am guessing it arrived at the Rail Depot in Western Washington state). This is all pure guesswork on my part. I am not completely sure what causes the date to change. I am sure someone knows! I hope this helps somewhat...

  22. No, confidence will build when the demand for BEVs materializes. A large supply mandated by government and no demand at profitable prices will result in huge losses/bankruptcy for companies. Other than Tesla, demand for BEVs has been so so at best. We’ll see how that changes over the next 5-10 years.

  23. Agree about the SUV style. I liked the previous generation better with the character line that went from front to back. It accented the vehicle's length and de emphasized the height, taking the visual bulk out of them and making them look more athletic.
