  1. I don't recall seeing any announcement on the Titanium being hybrid standard. When did that happen? I do hope with the refresh, the exterior looks more like the Chinese version. I prefer that to the US version, exterior wise. Interior I'm fine with.
  2. I was just going to say the same thing. A. a lot of camo, so you can't see much. B. I do see the usual 7 slot grille. So nothing new there. Looks like the usual 3 row CUV to me.
  3. It is odd you can get the 2.3EB in the Corsair, but not the Nauti...
  4. This is just my wild guess. One of two things. Either the blend doors aren't working right to divert air to the defroster. Or you may have a coolant leak in the heater core, adding moisture to the system. Just a guess...
  5. I'm sure they'll state that while they are down, they'll be doing quality improvement processes to make their cars even better than before...
  6. Mine is Job 1. I don't have the quad display on the speedo that came later. The hatch piece out back on mine isn't chrome, it's body colored. And I fat fingered that date, I have a 2013, not 2014.
  7. It's been awhile since I dug into this, but I could swear my 2014 2.0 EB Escape Ti shouldn't exhibit this problem. Like the engine was changed after my model year. I have 61k on my Escape. Outside of the door recalls, and one wiring recall, I've had no issues with it. Well, other than for some reason, the wife gets 1 mpg better than when I drive. I can't figure it out! ?
  8. I'm not sure if I believe those numbers. Corsair and Escape have had very good launches with no major issues. I don't see how the Corsair could be ranked below a Land Rover, or a Jag.
  9. I'm sure he'll whine about his resale price in 2 years when he insists on the new Gen model...
  10. I found that move somewhat fitting. When Compaq existed, it was in Houston TX. Then HP bought them. And now HP is back in Texas. I used to work for a place that sold and I serviced a lot of Compaq servers back in the day...
  11. Tesla may have impressive battery technology, but when 3/4's of their vehicles are NOT recommended because of reliability problems, it has to give you pause. I'm no CR fan, but geesh... https://www.cnn.com/2020/11/19/tech/tesla-model-y-reliability-consumer-reports/index.html
  12. Well, they rolled out a new Escape without much issue, and Corsair as well. So Ford is capable of doing it. Personally, they just need to give CAP a falcon punch to the management. Top down review of management, product quality, assembly quality...
  13. I'd check out Headlight Revolution's videos. They have a lot of examples and reasoning to picking an LED. I don't have personal experience with Fusions. But here is a good video on choosing a good bulb.
  14. For me personally in the F150, the 2.7EB is more than fast enough. It has a power curve I live better than the V8. And can turn as good or better FE for most of my daily driving. My problem is I want a Lariat. I'd have to just about special order a Lariat to get a 2.7 as the lot only has 3.5's. So I guess I'll just have to live with the lowly 3.5EB. ? Not that I'm replacing my 2003 Screw just yet. It only has 93k miles on it. I don't need anything more at the moment...
  15. Not to get political, but I'm betting Biden winning played some sort of factor in this decision. IF the government starts pushing hard towards removing ICE engines, then batteries will play a huge part in the switch to electric. Aren't batteries the single most costly item in an electric car? It would be to Ford's advantage to build them in their own factories. Now that's not saying they can't team up with VW or some other company. Share technologies and spread the cost.
  16. All I'm going to say is Biden isn't likely to shut down fracking. That would kill ND, TX, and PA oil and the state economy. He'd be making too many enemies. In short, think of Biden as Obama 2.0, or jr. I just don't see Biden doing something that Obama did do. Now can we keep the politics out of the Mach-E thread? Lets go back to bashing Hacket and his plans...
  17. They needed to make space some where to build those 100's of Hummer EV pickups....
  18. You might want to check with some local vinyl automotive wrapping places. They can do some pretty cool stuff with wrap these days. I'm sure they could come up with a black that would suit your tastes.
  19. Yeah, Ford definitely needs something slotted below Escape/BS to replace the price point the Focus/Fiesta was at. The EcoSport just isn't cometitive IMHO. They need the Puma or similar as a replacement in the next 2 years.
  20. Did I miss this? The EV Hummer is just vaporware at the moment! https://insideevs.com/news/450345/gm-admits-no-gmc-hummer-ev-exists-yet/?fbclid=IwAR01BbaxWljfszEEYC7lpZ6xCPfopClpxMiuoviafEf5_vEjXpUeIA1Ign4
  21. So they watched Ford and what they did with the F150 vs a Lincoln and made it work too. All the more reason I think Caddy should just die. But GM being GM, will keep it around...
  22. And then it irks me when I see some article/video claiming Tesla's manufacturing is 10 years ahead of other car makers... I no longer even click on those.
  23. All kinds of parts like to fly off Tesla's. https://www.businessinsider.com/tesla-model-y-roof-fell-off-family-claims-quality-control-concern-2020-10
