Watchdevil
http://www.worldcarfans.com/9071009.013/sp...a-true-to-verve It looked damn good as a two door... Of course we won't see it...
silvrsvt
Wonder if thats the US spec model, its lacking the gaping hole in the front bumper and the area where the grill will go looks larger to accommodate a 3 bar grill
pcsario
Wonder if thats the US spec model, its lacking the gaping hole in the front bumper and the area where the grill will go looks larger to accommodate a 3 bar grill There won't be any changes made to the euro design IIRC. :shades:
silvrsvt
There won't be any changes made to the euro design IIRC. :shades: Well I wouldn't hold my breath on that one, unless they already designed in the 5 MPH bumpers to meet Canadian regulations
igor
There won't be any changes made to the euro design IIRC. :shades: no MAJOR changes - nose "fascia" will not be identical. At this point - before the US Concept debuts, it is hard to figure out what does that exactly mean. The US nose will also be lower and longer (slightly) than the EU nose. suv_guy_19
Just say no to the three bar. Why uglify a nice looking car. I dunno, it would do something to cover the gaping maw in the front.
Pioneer
I dunno, it would do something to cover the gaping maw in the front. Just because it can doesn't mean it has to. You could shove a piece of cardboard into it, but should you just because that is all you have? C'mon Ford. Use some imagination. Surprise us. I think, personally that a chrome mesh grille would look good. The three bar would be good though because it would unify the face with that of other Fords. The three bar would be good though because it would unify the face with that of other Fords. true it would, but not everything needs the 3 bar treatment. 2008 NA Focus? nah. why this, which has completely different styling and a new segment (this decade) for Ford... because it should look like the Taurus? hmm

Ford Jellymoulds
and hubcaps that don't fall off.
atomcat68
Actually they look like the 50 mile spare tires. It's hard to really see the car, but it does seem to have the shape of the show car (even with 4 doors).
sullynd
I dunno, it would do something to cover the gaping maw in the front. Yeah - I don't like the giant gapping mouth. I'll take this front clip please:
Ford Jellymoulds
http://www.worldcarfans.com/9071009.013/sp...a-true-to-verve Front door handles are lower than back, so the midget drives the car, but poor old lurch gets in the back with a much lower headroom, and a claustrophobic small rear door window to look out of why he is hunched over in the back. What's happened to the Verve concept at least it had hubcaps on it?
Watchdevil
Yeah - I don't like the giant gapping mouth. I'll take this front clip please: I was just about to post an image of the Reflex to illustrate how Ford could possibly incorporate the 3-bar grille into the trapazoidal lower intake to give it an American Ford look. The Reflex is a nice design concept too... But ya know there is that issue of Mustang protectionism from Ford... "You can have any sporty coupe you want as long as it is a Mustang..." Ford Jellymoulds
Why can't we have the Reflex then in Europe then, Ford have a gapping great empty sports car black hole here, they are the only car producer that does not sell a sports car to Europe. Reflex looks a sales winner. It would certainly relieve the boredom that is Focus, Fiesta and Mondeo.
