silvrsvt
Looks pretty good. I like the power dome hood on it...

twintornados
If those "artist renditions" translate to the actual design.....that truck will be a hit out of the park....especially if an ECOboost is under the powerdome hood! LSFan00
For the 254,000th time, the Thai ranger is not going to be the basis for any NA Ranger.

Nope, this is a face lift of a Ranger we are still not getting (or want). Edited November 28, 2008 by BORG

Too bad we won't see it here. Edited November 29, 2008 by Mark B. Morrow

Too bad we won't see it here. I'm not quite sure why, but as I look at this truck I'm thinking of the Chevy SSR...Maybe just the bed cover, or the domed hood, or the out of usual proportions of one body panel to another. OSHA friendly? WTH is that? Just orange metallic paint...
SVT_MAN
Hate to say it, but it reminds me of the current Toyota Tacoma. And - that isn't a good thing.
NickF1011
Can't say I really like it. It looks obvious that it is a foreign Ford for some reason. All of the details look overdone, like the fender flares and lights. It looks more like a toy than a truck you'd actually want to work. Edstock
IMHO, the headlights are wrong.
jonas1022
Maybe it's the IZUZU two seater that used to be marketed here that I am thinking about. The front end clip is almost identical, as are the wheel flares. Grill is Ford bars for sure. Not the ovoid hole Izuzu had.
V8-X
IMHO, the headlights are wrong. Agreed, the headlights just aren't right or resemble anything Ford. I think it was a good attempt, but falls short. To me, it looks like the current Mitsu mid-size truck with a different grille.
stegomon
hey that thing looks better than any thing on the amarican market right now...SD is nasty 150's and flexes are nasty....any thing is better than nothing thanks to philzilla on TRS

A lot better than the orange one. Still has areas for improvement, but what vehicle doesn't.
rmc523
Hate to say it, but it reminds me of the current Toyota Tacoma. And - that isn't a good thing. The front (and definitely the headlights) reminds me of a RAV-4: Edited December 6, 2008 by rmc523
Versa-Tech
Any chance this could be shown @ Detroit? Ranger Max credit: AutoInCar.com In my professional opinion, that is absolutely sublime. I wouldn't go and say that we'll never see it. With Big Al' at the wheel, anything is possible. Global product strategy?

ANTAUS
Ahi que cute... But, yeah it does have a Rav4 look, into a Mitsu shape. if they beefed up the headlights so it matches with other current Ford trucks, it will go a long way. Give it a Flex/Edge sort of shape, to the headlights...
V8-X
No offense, but you opinions are so sophomoric. No offense taken, but come again? Stated it looked like a Mitsu truck front clip, which in my book isn't appealing. This is my opinion based on the style aspect. Being this is a forum, I didn't know we were required to provide an in-depth analysis of the truck, from every angle and provide detail on each and every aspect we dislike. It misses the mark or falls short (style wise) in my opinion on what I'd hope Ford would bring out as a Ranger replacement. People may agree or disagree, this is just my 2 cents. And why don't you provide us a more educated response then if you don't like my thoughts.
