Harley Lover
Aston Martin has struck a ground-breaking deal with Toyota to launch a £20,000 version of the Japanese-built iQ commuter car, badged Aston Martin Cygnet and built at Aston’s Gaydon works in Warwickshire. The new model, officially billed as a concept, is expected to be offered for sale before the end of next year. It will initially be sold only to existing Aston Martin owners and those with cars on order, but after an introductory period it will then go on general sale. It will instantly become the world’s smallest super-luxury saloon and represents Aston’s most radical model departure in its 90-year history. http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArticle/...-Cygnet/241124/ Lincoln C Concept: Edited June 29, 2009 by Harley Lover

BORG
What a novelty gag, quite the gamble but somebody has to break new ground! I tink the Lincoln C is a great idea but I don't think Lincoln can pull it off successfully.

PREMiERdrum
who in their right mind would pay Aston prices for a Toyota? Shoot, some of us are still trying to figure out who would pay Toyota prices for a Toyota!
RichardJensen
I noted that it's going to be offered first to current A-M owners, so I guess it's like buying carbon offsets for your REAL Aston Martin.

Maybe they'll start selling the "good" AM cars like the Vanquish with a BOGO sale. Toss in the new tiny polished turd to help those offsets. rmc523
http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArticle/...-Cygnet/241124/ WTF!?!?!?!? This is REAL?!?! I thought it was a joke on those other two threads, so I never bothered to read the articles. Who in the world approved that? :nonono: :nonono:

RichardJensen
If Ford hadn't dumped them, they wouldn't be in this boat. Ford brand sales volume would reduce their CO2 output to a statistical non-factor.

Bigbuck15
The concept c will most likely be produced thats why the mkz got a price hike,so this can slot below it.

SVT_MAN
Weird part is that it looks somewhat Fiesta-ish with that Barracuda face. I just don't see how this won't erode Aston's brand cachet though .... thank you Greenpeace.

LSFan00
Gimme a break haters, if they throw a "hybrid" name on it all of the hollywood types will be buying these and it will be instant free brand advertising. "Environmentally-friendly luxo maker Aston Martin recently sold it's 20,000 ultra green hybrid Lo-IQ personal commuter luxury car to Leonardo Dicaprio, who went so far as to have the vehicle charged by his home wind mill, while jetting to the 2011 global warming conference in Monaco aboard his G5. Over twenty dollars are sent to the Greenpeace save the whales funds each time a Lo-IQ vehicle is sold."

ausrutherford
Just saying, but Lincoln pretty has to build the Concept C after the raving reviews it got from the press and the dealers wanting them to build it.
