silvrsvt
Nice article on how they did the Fusion flying commercial! http://mashable.com/2012/11/14/ford-cars-cannot-fly/

RichardJensen
The car will later be sold as a demonstrator... with no clarification that the 'demonstration' involved the laws of physics.

RichardJensen
Just thinking about all those production assistants and interns piling up those cardboard boxes................
probowler
They caught a flying car with cardboard boxes???
akirby
They caught a flying car with cardboard boxes??? Yep. That's pretty standard stuff for stunts. Cardboard absorbs impacts well without damaging the person or object, and it's cheap.
twintornados
If anyone CAN make a Fusion fly, it would be former Boeing Exec and now CEO of Ford Motor Company, Alan Mulally....
Kev-Mo
I strongly dislike this type of advertising. I still remember how I despised the Lexus commercial from 10 years ago with the SUV climbing vertically up the building, and the more recent Nissan truck "snowboarding" down the avalanche chute. Now I stated how I remember these commercials years after they ran - The marketing Einstein’s do realize this phenomenon, and therefore we get more ads like this. I understand why Ford is doing it - If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95bpVJJlI6s&noredirect=1 Disclaimer: Trucks can't snowboard

RichardJensen
I strongly dislike this type of advertising. Me too. That's why I preferred the 'making of' video.
jpd80
Me too. That's why I preferred the 'making of' video. Might sound stupid but maybe Ford could release the making of...as another ad?
Mark B. Morrow
If anyone CAN make a Fusion fly, it would be former Boeing Exec and now CEO of Ford Motor Company, Alan Mulally.... Maybe Ford will beat Honda's "Civic of the Sky" to the private jet market with a flying Fusion. http://www.bizjournals.com/triad/blog/morning-edition/2012/11/will-the-hondajet-be-the-civic-of-the.html
retro-man
They flew a '67 Ford off a ski jump at Lake Placid too. Unfortunately I couldn't find a YouTube of it - but the ad was on TV I remember.
