fordmantpw
LED Headlamps! I can't wait for these things to show up in a Super Duty. Or maybe this thing will tow my fifth wheel?
ZanatWork
I......hmmm......I can't decide how I feel about that freakin' grille. Gotta see it in person, because it looks almost cartoonish in pics so far.

chevys
I am going out on a limb but I think the 2.7EB is Fords answer to the smaller truck crowd and I include myself in that group.

I would agree with that. You get the best of both worlds! It will be funny to see the F150 get better fuel economy than the new Colorado/Canyon twins.
lquidspine
That 2.7 in a Regular cab should get great MPG, I am curious to see what the official MPG rating is going to be. Having seen this truck in person a few times I can say traditional F-150 buyers will not be disappointed, no spot welds period will be something that traditional body people will take some getting use to I think but the weight savings are undeniable. Hugh
So with LED there's no need for HID? Forgive my ignorance. I am a bit put off by the front because I really like the current one a lot. It will grow on me I'm sure. Great job Ford!
Bryan1
The front end will look much better with real photos and in person. It already looks a million times better in the actual video footage... https://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/asset.html/content/dam/fordmedia/North%20America/US/2014/01/13/f150/video/F150_DESIGN.mov.html Edited January 13, 2014 by Bryan1
RichardJensen
Grille suggests that Ford still wants its front ends to loom in people's rear view mirrors. Maybe they should reverse the script to enhance the branding experience of having your rearview chock-full-o'-grille. Not really complaining, I don't mind the grille, but it's not my favorite part of the vehicle. My favorite part is the knife-edge styling. Nice detailing, indeed. Oh yeah, and the rest of it? If any other manufacturer thought *this* was their chance to gain ground on the best selling half-ton---well.... Doesn't look like that's going to happen. RichardJensen
Ford certainly knows their audience: High-strength, military-grade, aluminum alloys – already used in aerospace, commercial transportation, energy and many other rugged industries – are used throughout the F-150 body for the first time, improving dent and ding resistance and also saving weight. jpd80
What was it Pioneer said... " It will take competitors years to catch up..." And by golly, he's right.....this is a watershed product. Well done Ford, get out in front with tech and lead like a king... Pioneer
One thing that I don't see in the press release that I am excited about, if the prototype I saw is production ready, there will be a Vista type roof available on the crew cabs. RangerM
I wonder what engine has the 6K RPM redline. My EB tach goes to 7K and doesn't show one. Could be aesthetics or could be it's above 7K. I don't know.
Hydro
I really like it, but a little concerned on why they decided to go with a Tundra style grille?
Anthony
That front end (and tailgate) are going to take some getting used to. Not what I would call handsome in the least. The word cartoonish was used earlier and is an apt description. But all the tech is fantastic, very cool. This is next-next gen stuff.
