NickF1011
As if Ford would consider naming it that for even a second.
Hugh
STI is already taken BTW. Now, the article from Autoexpress is to be taken with a grain of salt. I hope for the diesel fans it's true.
atomcat68
Call it Diesel ST. D-st would be "dust" and you can't name it STD. Or it could be called Focus powerstroke like the trucks with a diesel.
grbeck
I still can't believe that Toyota ever approved the TRD name for its trucks, so I guess anything is possible....

fordmantpw
Focus ST-D: It's contagious! Especially once you hop inside and take it for a ride.
Mark B. Morrow
Maybe they could deliver them in a latex wrapper.
Hugh
ST-Duratorq sounds invasive.
grbeck
Maybe they could deliver them in a latex wrapper. Ford could use this slogan - "The most fun you can have with your clothes on." Edited March 5, 2014 by grbeck
LSFan00
This is a pretty good thread. If Mustang is going global, is it too going to get a performance diesel? That would really drive the ecoboost nuts crazy.
Hugh
I wonder which Duratorq they mean?
Hugh
This is a pretty good thread. If Mustang is going global, is it too going to get a performance diesel? That would really drive the ecoboost nuts crazy. Stephen Odell said the Mustang is Fords halo car in Europe at Geneva. We'll see after the initial offerings if diesel is going to be available. atomcat68
Simple: name it D-ST. Posted that above, but that could also be pronounced "dust".
jpd80
Simple It's still Called Focus ST but there's a TCDI badge on the rear. It's already done on Titanium with either an Ecoboost or TCDI Badge. Why is this so hard to understand...media completely over thinking this Edited March 6, 2014 by jpd80

Have we heard anything official? That was an early assumption by keyboard critics and based on experience with VW GDIT, Ecoboost doesn't seem to that or sludge up either. Or burn oil like the Audi 2.0 turbo's seem to do.
SoonerLS
Why is this so hard to understand...media completely over thinking this I might be able to accept "over thinking" by the media if I actually saw any evidence of them "thinking" in the first place...
