akirby
http://livestream.com/cnet/Detroitautoshowday2 Here's a link to the press conference - the Lincoln one starts at about 34:45. In the bottom video not the top one. I was expecting more fanfare.
RichardJensen
Yeah. The top video at the 34 minute mark features a guy who sounds like Arnold Schwartzenegger & a guy who looks like an underfed Chuck Norris. I enjoyed that.
RichardJensen
I also enjoy the way the whole presentation is basically a thumb in the eye of the "performance luxury" ethos. The live jazz combo, the focus on 30-way power adjustable seats, the repeated "Quiet Luxury" mantra. All of it a declaration that Ford's leaving the rat race, and that they don't care what twenty/thirty somethings with leased BMW 3-series and internet shouters think of them. Anthony
Love these semi-sharp edges. Reminiscent of Continentals of the past without being blatant.

Oops, you're right, sorry, I had it scrolled down to the other one when I posted it and forgot there was the upper one.

Now I know I have a sort of old soul and tend to prefer the direction Lincoln is going to an all-out performance route, but I liked the music and the way they presented it. To akirby's point about more fanfare, I understand what you're saying, but I also think the presentation actually goes right along with the "quiet luxury" feel. It's not a huge over the top production, it just confidently arrives and is there for all to see. Let the car speak for itself. Everything I've read so far (both write-ups, and user/reader comments) has been positive.
Trailhiker
Great! Lincoln designers should be proud. Has anyone seen any dimensions (headroom/legroom/cargo/etc..) posted?

Moosetang
Coolness. I don't know if I'd ever be someone that checked the box for that interior, but I'm really glad it exists.

Anthony
I dig the blue. I'd get it (and regret it 10 years later when trying to sell it, but who cares?)
Anthony
Interesting split seat bottom with the extended right leg support I'm sure that is part of the 30 way adjustable seats. You can extend each leg independently.

akirby
I was not expecting the concept interior to make it to production. Bravo! And I guess you're right about the quiet luxury thing on the announcement - just seems like such an important vehicle would have gotten a little bit more fanfare. fuzzymoomoo
There's 6 (I think) different interior colors if I remember correctly. Blue, tan, brown, black, grey and white if I'm not mistaken. There might even be 2 shades of black. I was just told last night and now I can't remember of course.
rmc523
Here's one from Autoweek. I usually don't like red cars, but it looks great here! It's funny you posted that....I almost made a comment earlier about "what do you want Volt dancers or something?" Haha --- Here's more of it in blue exterior and the Rhaspody interior: I love it. 630land
Good way to get feet in showrooms, come in to look at Continental, leave with a MKC or MKZ. Or a Conti"! Edited January 12, 2016 by 630land

fordmantpw
Collecting dust on the showroom floor. I honestly wouldn't see dealers stocking the blue. Special order only I would imagine. Wait, some dealers still add vinyl tops to the MKS...
