ausrutherford 359 Posted August 4, 2020 Now all they have to do is do a short wheel base 2 door with a cab over it and a second row of seats...and you have a full size Bronco... 😈 1 1 Deanh and probowler reacted to this

silvrsvt 2,938 Posted August 4, 2020 So what is the major advantage of having Springs vs leaf springs in the Raptor? I guess the Raptor will be sharing parts with the BEV F-150 also, since that was supposed to get Springs too.

They can share a few parts but not much. Coils are easier to tune than a leaf spring. Edited August 4, 2020 by MY93SHO 1 silvrsvt reacted to this

jcartwright99 552 Posted August 11, 2020 TRX gets unveiled on the 17th. I wonder if Ford shows the updated Raptor and Raptor R (rumored...cough) right after.

What’s the guess on engine from the sounds?? https://www.f150gen14.com/2020/08/14/first-2022-ford-f-150-raptor-video-look-and-listen-v8-engine-sound/ 1 Broncofan7 reacted to this

That does not sound like a V8 at all.

If the rumors of a V-8 TRX and a supercharged V-8 and/or naturally-aspirated V-8 ZRX are true, then Ford would be the only competitor in the segment without one. I don't see that happening in their own segment. I could see two engines-the HO Ecoboost to start and some other supercharged V-8. (And I know that the TRX is basically guaraneed a supercharged V-8. It's just not officially confirmed). 1 FR739 reacted to this

Why not offer a Hipo Powerboost 3.5L Ecoboost-it wouldn't have any issues matching the Hemi V8 that might be offered in the TRX power wise and might actually have more torque due to the electric motor. Very well could be done too. I wonder what the market would want in that segment honestly.

If that was a V8 I think you would know, even with the wind noise. Listen to some Mustang GT videos. 1 02MustangGT reacted to this
