Now all they have to do is do a short wheel base 2 door with a cab over it and a second row of seats...and you have a full size Bronco...

So what is the major advantage of having Springs vs leaf springs in the Raptor?

I guess the Raptor will be sharing parts with the BEV F-150 also, since that was supposed to get Springs too.

BEV is an independent suspension. The Raptor is still an SRA. They can share a few parts but not much.  Coils are easier to tune than a leaf spring.

TRX gets unveiled on the 17th. I wonder if Ford shows the updated Raptor and Raptor R (rumored...cough) right after.

Taking a trick out of Wrangler vs. Bronco. Love it.

first video drops of the next gen f150forum Raptor. What’s the guess on engine from the sounds??

I think these guys have never actually heard a V8 before in their lives.

That does not sound like a V8 at all.

3.5 Ecoboost with Powerboost?

Not sure why it'd sound different, though.

I guess it does have a re-routed exhaust because of the coilovers, though, so perhaps that plays into it?

Hope to see a V-8 of some kind as an option.

Agreed.  This truck needs a V8 and nothing else.  Stuffing a V6 under the hood is like stuffing a V6 under the hood of a Mustang GT.

If the rumors of a V-8 TRX and a supercharged V-8 and/or naturally-aspirated V-8 ZRX are true, then Ford would be the only competitor in the segment without one. I don't see that happening in their own segment. I could see two engines-the HO Ecoboost to start and some other supercharged V-8.

(And I know that the TRX is basically guaraneed a supercharged V-8. It's just not officially confirmed).

Why not offer a Hipo Powerboost 3.5L Ecoboost-it wouldn't have any issues matching the Hemi V8 that might be offered in the TRX power wise and might actually have more torque due to the electric motor.

Very well could be done too. I wonder what the market would want in that segment honestly.

I think it sounds like my current gen Raptor, along with a crapload of wind noise.  If that was a V8 I think you would know, even with the wind noise.  Listen to some Mustang GT videos.
