Most comments above are essentially positive and hopeful, which is good. However, many if not most comments on Ford Authority seem brutal by comparison. Sometimes wonder if people too close or invested in subject matter see things in same light. Not judging in that I can relate somewhat to both sides.
A RWD four door sedan sounds interesting to me, especially if a hatchback for better utility. Had one and liked it a lot. On the other hand Mustang purists will not like calling a sedan a Mustang Mach 4 (if that is indeed the name), which will seem as bad an idea as using Mustang Mach E to many Mustang loyalists.
Doesn’t the trademark application wording suggests Mach 4 could be something other than a sedan, so who knows what it will end up being?
I wonder what the timeline for this is. The next gen mustang is likely to get a new platform, and the sedan version likely would along with it. So if this sedan is s650 based, that means we should see it sooner rather than later. If it's riding on s650, I don't see this being the sort of vehicle we have to wait 3-5 years to see.
Dealers were already shown some mach-ups about 8 months ago, so it's already pretty far along. Is it possible they show us some sort of concept for the mustang birthday celebration in April this year?
