The Primary reason the Mach E is made in Mexico is due to it being imported to the EU. But given how things are going there with passenger vehicles, that might not be a Ford concern in the future and they might just be focusing on commercial sales in the EU going forward.
Just some thoughts…
The big issue with GE1 and GE2 is cost but maybe Ford was too far down the track to cancel the GE2 Mach E,
it could actually be a cost effective make over of the current Mach E to help recoup more costs.
I would prefer to See Mach E move to CE1 but can see why this may not happen but perhaps moving Mach E
from Mexico to Louisville CE1 is something to be considered…
