how Ford’s decision making flipped in just a few short years.
With all the mucking around that Ford did over the years,
it makes me wonder if they had just kept the 385 Lima
and upgraded that. The big Ford’s would have 370, 429 and 460
which happens to be 6.1, 7.0 and 7.5 litres.

No one should believe that the only way to deliver new products is to cancel existing products. This seems exclusive to Ford.
