OK, Last point I will make-0h yes happy BD AK-Hope you are still going when you are 82😎
I have never said a word about class 8, that ship sailed 28 years ago. And I am NOT talking about fleets that have a "fleet Manager". I'm talking about the thousands of small business owners who have a small number of trucks ..typically in classes 1-7 that are a necessity to support their business...trucks are a tool, not the breadwinner in their business. And some of these guys are diehards when it comes to what they buy while others buy what is available.
And yes, I'm guilty. If Ford Pro is supposed to appeal to "Business" I just suggest they should portray Ford as a company that sells other vehicles besides pick ups and Transits. As I've said the New England dealer group has been running their ads that feature the full product slate. Must be a reason right?
Yes, exactly. The new data centers are exploding and they will be using BESS. If what I have been reading is correct, then there is going to be strong demand. I just hope the Ford Energy cells have fewer problems than the Samsung cells used in the Escape PHEV. @jpd80’s concerns are valid.
Ford's been trying to do some fox body throwbacks with the s650. The interior design and fx package being the best example. I also mentioned the 90s, and there are rumors Ford might use the new edge as styling inspiration for the next gen, which would be a massive mistake imo.
So other brands are definitely trying
Correct, inventory at 173K is pretty skinny considering Ford likes to run around 220-250k max
Even with sales just under 48K, Ford is prioritising builds to the more profitable, fast moving versions.
Maybe need to see the quarter result but definitely down about 10,000 last month vs Jan 2025.
The US is going through an unpresented growth in energy requirements for manufacturing and AI, so I don't think their will be too much an issue in selling batteries to people for energy storage.
