I actually believe that's exactly what's happening. It's believed the next gen mustang is coming in 28/29 for the 30 model year. If the rumors are true that the sedan isn't coming until at least 2028, I believe it would be a lot more logical to debut it with the new generation, the fresh styling and features. If they put out a stretched s650 and then immediately release the s750, it's gonna make the sedan look dated right out of the box. I believe if the plan was to share s650 styling, we already would have gotten the car, it wouldn't be taking them as long as it is. -

Plus they could get a lot of mileage out of an AWD hybrid system. I could see that working really well for things like a mustang raptor, something lifted with better tires and AWD would really appeal to people who wanted to use their mustang in the winter. Or if Ford wanted to offer a version of a mustang that was really quick on the drag strip, an AWD hybrid setup would be a gang changer there as well. Lots of ways they cans mix and adjust a hybrid setup for different variants. -
I think its the other way around.

That makes the most sense to me! I've been assuming that the sedan will launch alongside a coupe/vert refresh. I doubt they're jumping straight to a new generation, even if that would make more sense for it to last longer.... As pointed out above, doing an e-AWD would be a potential way to do it. So wanting 2 different construction types in a single plant? I guess it's possible.

According to the youtube video - pricing seems to be spot on in the center of the market for those shopping for an EV...as I have said previously, since the tax credit subsidy has ended, you will see greater competition in the EV market. C-HR also has NACS standard...let the innovations begin!! -
Oh, I have thoughts, but I'll leave space for others to share their opinions.

I am sorry these dudes hijacked your post. You asked an honest question and you deserved an honest answer, instead of this.

I made the mistake of renting a first-generation bz4x for a work trip in California. It was awful, poor range, Slow charging. It was an awful experience. Since then, they have made two substantial upgrades to the vehicle and its platform, moving it from the worst EV to one of the best EVs. Now they are expanding the platform's volume across more and more segments. I think Toyota's strategy at the beginning was flawed, but they have learned very quickly how to build high-quality electric vehicles. Most importantly, they learn from their mistakes and failures and build upon them to make much better vehicles. The CH-R looks cool to me. https://youtu.be/79ScSY_ssPM?si=lFJDyzVrGCtGzKK3
