Ford does...Titanium is always the top tier with better seat surface options and stronger engines....for Maverick and Bronco Sport to compete..they would need a "King Ranch" Maverick or "Limited" Bronco Sport as comparison. Point is, they could but someone decided that Escape was boring. They could've had it...but...oh how "boring" the Escape is...all applicable to the Escape...could've been a Tremor or Platinum. You've made your "point"....I disagree with it. I believe it was a mistake and the only reason Escape (and Corsair) were discontinued was that CE1 needed production space and Louisville was designated as the space for it. I truly hope CE1 is successful as I am a prime target for the product it is going to produce. But I disagree that Escape/Corsair are "boring" products. Ignored? Yes....boring, no. -
I think is all to do with return over volume, many corporations use this metric to make their business more efficient. While it is leaving sales on the table, senior management know that the real money lies with going after lifestyle and premium customer sales id fall over laughing if Ford ends up making just as much profit selling batteries to major projects and retail consumers, funny how the future can be different than what we imagine

Could be nothing, but I was on the maverick forums where they were discussing the skunk truck. Someone was looking at patent filings for Ford, and found a patent showing the assembly process for the skunkworks EVs. But the image isn't a truck. It almost looks like a second gen mach-e or something. -
Newer models like BS and Maverick also tend to have a higher trim sales mix too and that’s where commodity models struggle, the titanium was available in Focus, Fusion and Escape but once those sales fall away the premium buyers have moved on, sometimes because they don’t want to trade for the near same vehicle again…

The more I think about that, the better the deal sounds for both parties. Shelby also offers a post title pack, not sure if the details but it sounds if you already own a Mustang/Truck, they will transform it into a Shelby version

And yet the BS and Maverick top trims are priced HIGHER than Escape titanium. Which is the point we keep trying to make and you keep ignoring.

Nowhere near Titanium....LOBO is a "Sports truck" and Bronco Sport Badlands is an "Offroad lifestyle" SUV. Escape has had ST trim and could have had a "Tremor" trim that would compare...Titanium is tilted more toward the luxury end of the spectrum. -

Maverick Lobo and Bronco Sport Badlands are the top trims. -
I'd noticed some things as I watched vehicles getting dropped. First, I never saw people get really passionate about the dropped models until they were dropped. When there were Focuses (Foci?) on the lots, very few people gravitated to them. That was the cosolation prize. Gee, we couldn't get that whatever other vehicle we actually wanted, but we could get the Focus. Same thing with the Fusion. Taurus, Fiesta, then even the Edge, and Escape. Once they were canned, suddenly it was a travesty, why would they discontinue those vehicles, and so on. Second, the vehicles getting cut were ones you didn't see people buying merch for. I've seen hats, t-shirts, things like that for plenty of vehicles, but I've never seen anyone so excited about owning their Ford Escape that they buy a hat for it. I wonder if that's some of the metric of what is or isn't a boring vehicle. A couple outliers were the performance versions of those vehicles. SHO Taurus, Focus ST/RS, Fiesta ST, etc. Sample size was the dealerships I've worked at and my own observations, other areas may have had different experiences.
