What's worse is the GMC buyers claiming they would never buy a Silverado.

Anyone with common sense should recognize that charade for what it is. My local Chevy dealer in Martinsville, IN certainly does (they sell GMCs and Buicks too!) 😄

Back in March there was a lot of press about Farley’s visit to Australia and a multi-billion dollar commitment to future products. https://www.fromtheroad.ford.com/us/en/articles/2026/jim-farley-australia-road-trip It would make sense that Ford’s Australian design/engineering team will take a major (likely lead) role in the TTP new truck. JP @jpd80, any more tidbits you can share? This discussion/news dovetails nicely with what you told us a few months ago about Ranger not going away but morphing into something new/enhanced. As a huge Ranger fan the anticipation is killing me!

I see it now, a future Bronco pickup would integrate perfectly with existing Bronco SUV trim levels and option packages where Ranger looks odd man out. Explorer Dude suggestion that Michigan plant becomes exclusively Bronco pickup/SUVs and Lincoln Bronco makes a lot of sense with higher $$ product mix and streamline parts delivery plus more common body stamping Moving Ranger to TPP and making it a newer slightly larger more capable vehicle sends a strong message to GM and Toyota thst Ford wants more of that sub F150 market and branding it as an F truck is a big marketing advantage

GMC in general pretends Chevrolet doesn’t exist and vice versa -

I hope so as well. Even if they decide to give the mustang branding to a gas powered crossover, some sort a mach-e style EV would be awesome to keep around. I keep pushing for Ford to bring back the Galaxie name. I think that name would suit a sporty EV well. -
The Ranger SD towing maxes out at the low end of the F-150’s towing range. Slots very nicely. “The Ford Ranger Super Duty (SD) boasts a maximum braked towing capacity of 4.5 metric tonnes (approx. 9,920 lbs)” “The Ford F-150 towing capacity ranges from 8,200 to 13,500 lbs, depending on the engine, cab configuration, and drivetrain”

I find it hard to believe they'd make money on that if they have trouble making money on products a segment bigger. Couple that with a mid-20s price tag and I don't know if that's viable........especially if you're trying to fill a plant with that alone....

I was too lazy to look up why they were on the bottom of the chart. I had assumed that the fact it was on the bottom excluded it from the overall average. Also shows how stupid the IQS things are if "accessible cupholder location" somehow equals "quality"

Yeah I misunderstood what he said. There is a lot of things flying around here.
