I think there were other reasons for choosing Louisville over TTP like suppliers and the aforementioned desire to thin out the Lincoln dealers and kill Escape period.

If the Fathom (and CE1) is as revolutionary as Ford says it is, I would think that it will have over 300 miles range in the base version. Otherwise, it's not that much different than other cheap EVs that have been on the market for several years.

Rental fleets only buy bargains from whichever company is most desperate at the time for their normal vehicles (not premium rentals). Government and commercial fleet sales are totally different having specific requirements and more factors than just price.

Obviously it's not doable for $30k at the profit level they desire with all of the features they are including. If 200 is too low spend another $4k for 300. $34k for a nicely equipped trucklet is a hell of a deal.

Yup, I just feel like they're hinting at something, otherwise why bother with that specific pattern? Maybe!
