I don’t think it sees the light of day. I do think a true BEV F-150 will come back around. But it may be a decade till battery tech improves charge time and weight. I also wonder if we will see the F-Series go back to steel body panels rather than Aluminum. More providers of steel than aluminum, after the fires showing the dangers of the current supply chain. A weight increase that could be offset with wiring reductions and other weight reductions via lessons learned from the skunk works EV team. -
Could have been worse. Lincoln had very solid gains aside form the Corsair. And heavy truck down 46.7%...

I think it was more of an engineering exercise to test the waters. I don't think they expected big volume. That also means it's not a priority and I'm sure Ram's issues have them concerned. I still question the market for it.

Makes one wonder if Ford is truly committed to the F-150 EREV or was it a PR maneuver to ease the backlash of canceling the Lightning? Ford has to be watching RAM's numerous delays/problems with their EREV.

I have it on good word that Rangers make excellent toads.

I bet the lower mpg had to do with emissions, similar to Ford lowering their engine outputs last year.

It’s a real pickle for Ford, it almost feels like it will be quietly killed… It might be easier to just add a battery to the 5.0 V8 F150 and call it a day Edit, I wonder if Ford was thinking of changing its product direction again? and now there’s a change in politics, maybe that’s all out the window again… Corporates like to plan long term but turmoil in recent years must be driving Ford and GM nuts - how about just honour an existing agreement like USMCA.

I think it looks good; a bit Range Rover-ish. The design is in line with the latest trends, specially in China. -

That's one of the reasons we are moving from a 38' fifth wheel to a truck camper. When unhooked, it can be cumbersome driving a Super Duty around everywhere (and mine only has the 6.75' bed). Sure the truck hauling the camper is going to be huge (C&C with 84" CA - 4+' longer than my super duty), but it will stay with the camper and we'll drive our toad around. Getting into places will be so much easier! -
I'm absolutely a fan of "make configurations available". If I've got a customer that wants a Lariat regular cab, by God, I should be able to order it. That said, I remember taking a Courtesy Transport truck for a weekend while mine was being serviced. It needed miles anyway, and I was going to the Chicago Auto Show that weekend. 250 miles there, 250 back. F-150 XLT, crew cab, 6.5' box. The drive down was fine, but once we were in Chicago, it felt like a VERY big truck. I've always felt the extra foot feels like a lot more than that on a crew cab F-150. Driving a crew cab 8' Super Duty is so much worse, too!
