So next gen Mach-E and ICE SUV in Cuauatitlan?

Could create interest for younger generation of Mustang buyers. Maybe with family where 4 doors are a plus. I can see where a hybrid would be good. AWD would be nice, but turning a Mustang's rear drive platform into AWD might be too expensive. We already have the Mach-e, so no other all electric Mustang variants. -

Because we're talking a lot about shared platforms, I had an idea. A new unibody performance car platform that could be shared across a lot of models. Maybe sharing a platform with the explorer would be too much of a compromise, but taking some of the learnings of CE1 on how to design a quality, versatile, light and cost efficient platform, and apply that to a ICE performance platform that underpins -The next gen mustang coupe - A mustang sedan - The gas powered mach-e - A halo model like a new cobra or something. Everything here would be either high volume, or have super thick margins. The cuv would sell in high numbers, a new cobra could command easily a 6 figure asking price and could generate a substantial amount of revenue to pay down the cost of the platform, and so on. -

Some interesting proposals. The hangup here is a mustang sedan logically would be s650 based. But there's also that affordable EV sedan from Ford. It's a case of Will the market support 2 RWD sedans from Ford? Is the demand substantial enough? I'm thinking the Ford EV sedan was gonna be like su7 size since that's Farley's favorite EV rival, and it's logical to assume if he wanted to build an affordable EV sedan that leaned into this passion strategy, it would be something like a su7 rival. Another alternative would be to make a smaller sedan/hatchback EV with muscular styling and maybe some escort nods taken into the future. Something like this would do well if it was model 3 size and maybe been more affordable. -

From what i understand, it is the paint shop at Flat Rock that is the issue. I would guess any JV with Chinese car manufacturers would be for sedan production at Flat Rock - their most under utilized plant in the USA - Next most under utilized would then be Cuautitlan.....if they add a JV there, it would likely be for production in Latin and South America.... -
Of all the ideas we put forward, how would adding a highly related (parts sharing) product on an existing platform (S650) at an existing plant (Flat Rock) without having to rip up the entire plant, not be the cheapest way to go about adding a Mustang 4 door?
