Ford Will Explore Commercial Vehicle Development With Renault
In addition to collaborating on these two new all-electric models for retail customers across Europe, Ford and Renault Group have also signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for a light commercial vehicle collaboration, too. Under that LOI, the two automakers will explore the idea of jointly-developing and building both Ford and Renault-branded light commercial vehicles (LCVs), which are quite popular in that particular region, as a way to leverage common platforms to drive industrial scale.

Also got the above car mixed up with this one-but I don't think this really got close to production-the Cobra was spotted by Popular Mechanics a couple times in Ford's lots (I remember the biplane spoiler being changed) back then...but the GN34 birthed the Yamaha 3.0L that later found its way into the Taurus SHO and the money from the GN34 program went to what would be Ford's biggest hit since the Mustang-the Explorer
