FordBuyer
LINK-Detroit News Only sales of 75,000 sales/year are expected? I hope at least double that. If not, why bother on vehicle that at best is an entry vehicle. What the hell is the Mexican plant going to be doing if only 75,000 sales are expected in America. Edstock
Only sales of 75,000 sales/year are expected? It's just a number, a guesstimate. Who knows what economic and market conditions will be when the car is introduced? At least Ford is not proclaiming 150,000 or more.

I'm still not convinced that Americans are going to flock to B-class cars, they're just too small.

Maybe, but remember that these cars are physically small and tall/heavy-set people will probably opt for something bigger if given the choice. American's overall, still like big vehicles. Cougarpower
I think that Ford its preparing themselves because if the economy keeps the way its going this could deapen close to a recession and it will be ugly people and thats why I think Ford and GM are pushing hard for the 25b loan before things get ugly
Extreme4x4
And they are not ugly now??? I'm 44, and have been through many, many recessions. It is called a cyclical economy. However, I do agree that they should get the loan............. hell, everyone else is. I do agree with Dean on the Fiesta.................. major segment buster.
