akirby
I am not liking those exposed wires. They must be building them really cheap for the Chinese market.
Anthony
Looks good, however I hate, hate, hate the location of the window switch on the passenger door.
akirby
That's one of the few ergonomic complaints about my Fusion - you have to reach to get to the window switches.
akirby
And this is basically a Fusion interior, just like the Edge, except for the gear selector.

Might be shown off at the NYC auto show (the restyled 2013 Taurus was first shown off there also)
papilgee4evaeva
Maybe it's just me, but aside from the rotary knob and the steering wheel, everything else looked more or less the same at first glance. I had to pull up a pic of the current interior to see changes. Not that it looks bad, mind you.
Hugh
I wonder if the Taurus will have the Platinum-style treatment with wood accents?
ds91776
I like the look of this interior. It looks very comfortable, classy, and serene. It actually reminds me a little of a modern interpretation of the 500/2008 Taurus interior, which I loved. Can't wait to see this car.
fuzzymoomoo
I like it, but it's too big of a car for my taste
rmc523
I like it, but it's too big of a car for my taste I definitely prefer this look to the way overstyled/busy look of the Focus/Escape.
ANTAUS
Ive never cared for that Sony radio, A/C integration panel on the same plane. Otherwise the interior looks as expected.

ds91776
Is that "official" that the new Taurus will debut in April? It kind of makes sense...except for one thing. If the new MKS/Continental/Whatever is going to show up in New York...that's pretty much the exact same time as the Shanghai Auto Show. Wouldn't Ford want to separate the two cars debuts a bit? ds91776
There is a difference between the MKX and the GT/Raptor, etc. The difference is that the Taurus and the MKS/Continental will share a platform and that ( no matter the differentiation ) will make internet trolls scream REBADGE!!!!! ( even thought they have no idea what that word means ).
fuzzymoomoo
I think you missed my point. The point was I don't think separating the two unveilings really matter to them a whole lot

Technically, I think the MKZ debuted the day after those three... I think as long as they're quite differentiated (as we've seen with the MKZ, and especially the MKC and new MKX, so I'm not worried here), I don't think there will be much of a problem with the differentiation comments.

I don't like rotary shift knobs. Yea, I know they're all just electric switches these days and not actual mechanical links to the transmission but there is something to be said for keeping controls intuitive. Hell, I grope for the column shift lever on my truck when I jump into my wife's floor shift Jeep sometimes. I guess since we now have electric steering we can start replacing steering wheels with joysticks.
