The fact that they moved the front axle centerline forward by about 2" might have allowed them to also move the front half of the cab forward by the same amount. That would theoretically move the front seats forward as well thus providing extra leg room for rear seat passengers. The obvious downside of that would be less length in the engine bay since they have also said that the overall length of the truck has not changed. However, they did drop the 3.2L inline five cyl diesel, right? So maybe that allowed them to shorten the engine bay a bit?

Prob not unless they say something tomorrow. I'd guess it would be similar to how the Bronco Raptor was launched time framewise, or maybe within 6 months of launch next year. blksn8k2
This came from the Ford Performance website. Is it just my imagination or do the fender flares look more pronounced than on the other supposedly Raptor prototypes?

blksn8k2
It almost looks like there is a semblance of a step on the lower rear corner of the bed which was also not there on previous Raptor prototypes. Just more things to watch for tomorrow...or could there be differences between the ROW and NA Raptors?

blksn8k2
I was trying to place what that poem in the reveal video reminded me of and it finally came to me - the "Late Lament" ending of the Moody Blues "Nights In White Satin". It was the Euro reveal after all. ?
akirby
Love it but I doubt it will come in a supercab. I need the bed length.
jcartwright99
I'm sad. In a 2019 world (if these vehicles existed), I'd put in an order for a Bronco or Ranger Raptor and most likely get it for MSRP. With a reasonable build time. Not so much now. 2005Explorer
Next gen Ranger isn't starting production until Summer 2023 so add a few months to that. If they start building it December 2023 technically that's next year. Hopefully these predictions of $7 gas are wrong because that's going to put a damper on sales of specialty 4x4s, ICE large trucks and SUVs in general.

If they start building late '23 you might be able to buy one by this time in '24.
blksn8k2
Saw this on the drive.com.ua website. Any idea what the logic is behind this and could the part about the Raptor being launched first possibly be applied to NA? Hey, we can dream, right? "The 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor is slated to arrive in European showrooms before the end of 2022 – at a similar time to first Australian showroom arrivals. Unlike Australia, the Raptor will be the first new-generation Ranger variant to launch in Europe, with lesser variants to follow in the first half of 2023."
